Are there any answers out there at the college level to come up to be an OC that stand out? Maybe even at LSU?

I like the head coach of Texas Tech....can't think of his name, but they have a great offense every year....kind of like the old Run and Gun which the Houston Cougars ran. If we get TO we need a coach like this.

I dont know much about him... would he be up for the option of coming up to the NFL in 2006?

although its good your trying to think out of the box and looking elsewhere, i'd likely say our OC will end up being an obvious choice. like martz, or Garrett.

I think that Rich Rodriguez out of West Virginia, long-time friend of Saban's, should get a serious look.

The best option I felt was Al Saunders but we missed out on him when he signed w/ the Redskins. The guy is used to playing w/ 2 good running backs and his passing game is always very good.

actually, he never made the larry johnson and priest holmes thing work, like ever. Once priest got hurt though, he turned larry in the best back in the league. But we already knew he was a great offensive coordinater before that.

I thought it worked. Granted Priest got a bulk of the carries before he got hurt but Johnson was still getting his yards in. He had 399 yards in the first 7 games as a backup while Priest had 451. That's pretty balanced to me. Now I know that LJ just took off once he was the starter but to say that the RB situation didn't work would be a bit misleading IMO.

Do we really need an OC???? Nick could be the HC and OC.....I am sure he knows what plays he wants to call. Your thoughts?

Head coach, general manager, hes practically already the defensive coordinator...im sorry, but he's not exactly God.
