Odds on Marlins & Fins to both hold Title same year

It looks like you forgot about the '86 Mets and '86 Giants

A better question is whether any team has ever won a SuperBowl, World Series, and the NBA Finals in the same year.

Boston came close in '85-'86

Patriots lost the SuperBowl (game was played in Jan '86)
Red Sox lost the World Series in 7 games
Celtics won the NBA Championship

Has any other city come close?

nope didn't forget, the mets won it in 86, the giants won their championship in 87!

Well then if you're including that technicality it is impossible for the Dolphins and Marlins to win it in the same year this year since the SuperBowl will be in 2004

when did anybody say anything about them winning it this year?!

Well if it's never been done, close is as good as it gets. Even if you're still all wet.

How did the Bruins do in 86-87? If they made it to the Championship, that would be impressive... but I still hate Boston as much as Buffalo...

When Mike Lowell from the Marlins was told the Dolphins hate playing ball on the dirt field, he said: Well, hopefully we'll win the WS and the Fins will win the Super Bowl and then everyone will be happy." Maybe the dude had a vision or something.
