Oden or Durant???

Who do you select first in the NBA draft?

You can't not pick Greg Oden, Kevin Durant may be a better player but you just can't pass on Greg Oden. A dominant center is worth more then a dominant wing player
 
Oden. I like Durant a ton but give me the interior shot blocker/defender. Thats the quickest way to my heart as a hoops fan. Ive seen the difference it makes having that guy patrolling the paint (Ewing) who can intimidate defenders and a guy who patrols the Dunkin Donuts (Curry) more then the paint. Well, let me go back just a bit, curry tries at times, hes just not good at defense or shot blocking because hes too fat and cant do it without fouling :(

Plus Oden has an evolving back to the basket game that is going to draw double teams for the next decade+. The fact Durant can put the ball on the floor makes him a great prospect but Oden's D is a real difference maker.

So yeah, Oden.
 
Neither...I'd take Noah of the Florida Gators.

Olajuwon > Jordan??

And please tell me one time that Oden has dominated anyone that will be playing in the NBA next year. This is not the second coming of Shaq or even Dwight Howard.....they are on different levels athetically. Mabey he is the next Olajuwon, but as good as he was, somehow I doubt Houston would make that pick again.

Do you really think that Durant is going to be Jordan?

Oden might not be the 2nd coming of shaq, but Durant isn't the 2nd coming of Jodran. Dwight Howard is a freak of nature, but to say that Oden wouldn't be one of the most athletically gifted centers in the league from the getgo is crazy.

Greg Oden at the very least will step in and be a huge defensive force. He is developing a post game and has played almost all year with a hurt wrist, he already shoots better with his left hand then alot of NBA players.

Kevin Durant is a great scorer and rebounder, but until his body fills out i dont know how much he will be rebounding in the NBA. He is going to get killed if he ever goes down low.

Greg Oden has to be the #1 pick. The only team i can think of with a reasonable shot at the #1 pick that doesn't need Oden is Milwaukee after using a #1 on Bogut, then i would say they need Durant over Oden
 
Oden needs to stay in school at least one more year IMO.

It probably would be good for him, even though is coach doesn't know how to get him the ball so idk how much it would help. But me and my friend think he comes out after having the injury scare with his wrist, he might want to cash in.

I was reading on ESPN.com he is really being pressured by his friends and family to come out and that he doesn't really want to though

Yeah, won't surprise me if he comes out but I really think his game could use another year at the college level.
 
I don't know, or care, just let one of them end up in Celtic green next year..

but seriously if you get the number 1 pick, you gotta take the next Patrick Ewing.. Greg Oden

Of course Durant isn't Jordan. Hes a little bit of Garnett, Bosh, Josh Howard, and Swift combined....but who knows what hes going to be in two years. Mabey he'll be 7' and 250 lbs, mabey 6'10 190. The kid hasn't even matured physically yet. I think of him as a more athletic Bosh with a perimeter game. With the way the NBA is headed I'll take Bosh over Ewing any day.

Chris Bosh is in no way better than Patrick Ewing, now and probably won't ever be as good. He may score more but he probably won't rebound as much and will never be a defensive force like Ewing was.
