Odrick Question

starks was classified i imagine as a dt only by pff thus all his snaps were probably listed as such...even though in the nickle wake was on the outside of him a plenty playing a hand in the dirt pass rusher...

so i don't really see how it would be different having a misi with a hand in the dirt or a vernon with a hand in the dirt off odrick who shifted inside as not being viewed as a dt...

but whatever it's not worth arguing pffs value on something this minor...and it's also not worth calling a kick inside role for odrick as not getting snaps at dt...to me that's called reading too much into or trusting too much what pff tells you...

kinda like if i recall correctly one of those ratings sites maybe it was pff having kerry rhodes as it's 3rd rated safety or something in 2012 and the guy can't find a job right now in the league...just going too far

I'm past what PFF had to say. I asked who else was on the field, in the front 7, when Odrick moved inside because I do not know. Did he team up with Starks?

yes...him and starks primarily...mcdaniel was in there some also...rotational type stuff...lions share starks and odrick as it should be

odrick was most efficient as a pass rusher when inside in the nickle...phone booth work instead of out in space where his lack of edge acceleration and ability to close in space showed up a plenty even when he gained his inside shoulder

Thanks. Did he do anything in pressuring the QB as his stats, as little as they are, all show from DE, and another poster gave a very detailed breakdown on his sacks?

i thought he played well in his kicked inside snaps...more efficient pass rusher to my eye on the inside...he got washed out a lot on the edge as a de pass rusher or if he did win he couldn't get there in time to make an impact...i do think all those end snaps in space wore him down some come when he shifted inside...a lot of snaps for odrick last year...i would hope this year some of those base down end snaps would be off his plate to give him a rest for the nickle

We have all talked about moving him to DT, which makes sense, and I thought he played inside some last year. However, looking at snap counts from PFF, they do not show him doing so. They have him playing 951 snaps, 364 run plays, 556 pass plays, and 21 in coverage.

They list every player, even taking one snap at DT but, no Pee Wee. Are they wrong here?

Yes they are wrong.
