Except JJ had a personality & really bad sidekick.
Les' unpredictability would IMO negate the clock mgmt gaffes. Further, Les knows 3 < 7.
Bret Bielema as phins coach in 2012 and beyond... look at what UW has done.
gruden may or may not suck, but that tampa team that "tony" built didnt win the superbowl with tony.
tony couldnt win with his own guys!!!! yes, he went to indy and won a title, with a qb and a team another guy built. so take what you want out of all that.
hmmm.... wasnt it gruden who brought a semi retired, retread RICH GANNON in and made a pro bowl, superbowl qb out of him? now, i'm no raiders historian, but i think thats how it went.
the problem i have with gruden is players get tired of him real quick for some reason. but, the guy knows offense, stays current with todays game and actually HAS a real offensive dicipline [west coast offense] that he knows inside and out.
so there are pluses and minuses in hiring gruden.
even though bill cowher ISNT COMING HERE, WONT PLAY FOR ROSS, there are plus and minus's there. if it wasnt for the rooneys being so in love and loyal to bill, he would have gotten fired years before he won that sb. his man crush with cordell stewert almost killed that team. these coaches that fall blind in love with qb's [tony with henne, wanny with feidler] are team killers. and if they will do it once, ........ .
can he draft? who knows. he had much help with the pit gm, the roonies. now he is another guy that wants full gm and personel duties with his coaching. not a fan of that. it killed don shula and many other goach/gm's. and if the pit drafts were 80-90% pit gm's, and cowher was just the recipient of those draft choices, this could be a REAL BIG disaster for us. one of those positions suffers, if not both.

come one guys no more college coaches, we need a coach that will also bring fans to the stadium, perfect example look at what the marlins are doing, they got a players manager, and i will mos def go to some marlins game now to see if ozzie guillen will do his crazy stuff. it has to be fisher or cowher, if its fisher i could see him bringing in his former players finnegan, griffin, just to name a few, who are also free agents.
