I don't follow any college sport including football, so I have no idea who's who coming from the draft as faras QBs go. Would Phil Rivers be worth trading off the first round draft pick for?

Also this may sound stupid but.. I really think the Dolphins should do something about the FB position I thought Konrad was decent but for whatever reason now he's gone. Ricky as FB wouldn't be all that bad, he'd just need to put on maybe a little more size, it may sound like another Zach as SS but you know Jerome Bettis went from FB to HB. So why can't Ricky do the opposite.

Finally, who is who as far as the WRs go, maybe the Phins could find someone in round 2, or trading Ricky to a team like Houston for their round 1 wouldn't be a bad idea. I read somewhere Madison for 4th round, that's just dumb... He's worth more than that, and realistically I don't think getting rid of him would be smart until the other CBs can prove themselves...

My thoughts on the off-season is just that, its the off-season (far far away)... we still have a lot of season left... stop rushing our season and simultaneously you life away bro

;)

Someone mentioned the lack of rational offseason topics, well I think this is just that. This offseason is gonna be a big deal, I'm looking forward to it, to see the improvement this team makes.

Ricky could never be a full back, his blocking has been poor to this point.

We couldn't get a #1 for Ricky (and definately not Houston's). Seattle and Indy were only asking for a #2 for Alexander and James ... and they got ZERO takers.

And teams are wishing they had given it up now with the production of those two backs... Ricky will not generate as much interest as either one of them as he will still be a big enigma to most at the end of the season... Most likely he will stay right where he is and our running game will be the beneficerary...

I don't think we'll even try to trade Ricky. I'm sure we wouldn't get very much for him anyway. I think he quietly has become part of the teams long term (3-4 years anyway) plans.

Looks like we have a road grading fb in Barnes if he continues like he did Sunday. Article reports that 92 of Sunday's rushing yards were behind him. Ricky won't be traded, RB market is flooded, it's a good 1-2 combo, insurance if Ronnie gets hurt, salary is reasonable, etc, etc.

I understand realistically the Texans won't wanna give up their round 1 for Ricky, but I was just throwin out a scenario... Better than Madison for a lousy 4th

I think Ricky will remain in Miami and we will make a big free agent push after Reggie Wayne of the Colts and Steve Hutchinson, the guard from Seattle. It is unlikely that either will be re-signed, both have South Florida connections, and I think both would be major upgrades.

As for the QB solution, it's anybody's guess at this point.

Wayne and Hutchinson would be nice aquisitions. Personally I'd rather see Regiie Wayne on the team

If I had to guess now then I think our first day picks will be QB, LT and defense (probably CB). In no particular order. I think we'll pursue defense in FA. I like Julian Peterson, but I don't know if he'll be available. Out here on the West Coast there's no consensus about what SF will do.
