would you go offense or defense in the draft, i personally think we need to go defense, get the best de or lb available, i would love upshaw from alabama, at least u know he is nfl ready, and he was tought by a hell of a college coach in saban. i think he will fall right to us, thoughts

It's gotta be either pass rusher or right tackle. I'd be happy to get Upshaw

Upshaw would be a great pickup. Lining him up opposite Wake would make a lotta QBs **** bricks.

I would be happy with Upshawn or DeCastro. DeCastro has been tabbed by some NFL people as the best guard prospect since Steve Hutchinson.

I have to say Coples or Upshaw. I know DeCastro is good, but I can't justify using a top 10 pick on a Guard, when you can draft servicable Guards in later rounds. Now, if we were able to trade down and pick up more picks, then I would say DeCastro would be acceptable

A lot depends on what we do in free agency but I like the 2 pass rushers above and they might be the BPA at the time we pick.....I also would not mind moving down and getting an extra pick or too but again, it all depends on free agency.

Ozzy rules!!

BPA regardless!

What if RG3 or Justin Blackmon drop that far?

If they are both gone, then the next best thing has already been discussed in this thread IMO. Either Upshaw or DeCastro.

I don't like Couples at #9 so if we pick a DE, I think it would be Upshaw. I hate to think about drafting another dline or oline player that high on the board. There will be some quality still available in round #2.
I would rather draft Blackmon, Clarbourne, or Richardson ...play makers.
Blackmon will most likely be gone, but if he is there, grab him in a heart beat. The 2nd rated WR is pretty damm good too.
Clarbourne would take Sean Smith's job and we would have to pro bowl corners for the next several years at least. Sean Smith can back up or play safety.
Richardson is a better RB than Daniel Thomas. DT can take Hilliards spot on special teams and on the bench.
Just my .02

Thats my thing, if Claiborne, Blackmon or RG3 is available . . . I want one of those guys and I want Miami to be aggressive within reason to get a guy to upgrade the overall talent of this team.

I know I don't want a RT top 10 and I don't want an interior OLineman either . . . not top 10 atleast. Pass Rusher seems like the best selection at this moment.

I honestly just can't even envision a scenario in which Blackmon falls to #8.

Has to be a playmaker, regardless of wether it is on the offence or defence.

Upshaw, Kirkpatrick, Blackmon, Griffin, Coples, Floyd. It doesnt matter. Has to be someone who can came in, start & change the way Miami plays.
