I saw a lot of screens & 1st option only throws....

I mean it could have to do with the fact we are missing Sims...Stills left the start of the 3rd Q & Parker seems hobbled.

I didn't like it I think we lucked out yesterday even tho we got really conservative

yes i did notice a lot of the times Tannehill was getting pressured but the playbook still looked like it was for a rookie to me.

Hoops made a good point in his scoops thread.

That last drive of the first half, Gase made a decision not to let that Jets DLine take over that game and it was reconfirmed in the early second half when Ryan almost had a huge turnover (strip sack) on that deep attempt to Parker.

I felt like Ryan did get a little careless there in that second half, maybe we got a bit too conservative and we lucked out a time or two, but props to Gase for continuing to feed the Jay Train. That Jets D was done on that last drive.

I Couldnt watch. Hoping to see some gametape soon. But that is a very low amount of passing yards

Yup, the Jets were getting pressure quickly. Although there was only 1 sack, it did not really tell the story.

Was frustrating given that the Jets pass D was a supposed weakness but the OL getting manhandled in pass pro, DP being a non-factor and Stills leaving the game meant the passing game went all conservative.

We benefited from Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson getting benched in the first half. When they came in their DL became more disruptive and Gase noticed it. That's when he became extra conservative. In the end it paid off, but it sure wasn't pretty.

Gase was doing what he could to protect Tannehill, help the o line, and neutralize the Jets pass rush. Their front is absolutely disgusting and even when Tannehill was delivering quicker throws he was taking hits.

It was a solid game plan that worked. Thankfully.

Yup, but some want to say it's bc RT isnt good enough. He did fine.

He took some pretty nasty hits. Not sure how they flagged Philips for unnecessary roughness and let the Jets get away with a double hit on Tannehill later on in the game.

If this running game is legit and after playing the Steelers, Bills and Jets there's pretty solid evidence that it is it should open up the passing game down the line. Defo looked like Carroo was open deep be it an overthrow or the WR misjudged by looking back too soon.

Anyway what is it now with Albert, Pouncey and James on the line 9-1?

Devante Parker hobbled and mostly a decoy. Stills out of the game with virus. Carroo not ready...cannot get open. TE's that were schemed open but are really not that dynamic. We Basically had Jarvis Landry and Damien Williams. The production level is not really surprising when you think about it. Tannehill still made a few plays when it counted but he was handcuffed a bit.

I believe it's now 10-1.

Get Grant on the field! Dude is a playmaker

Pretty sure that was Grant that dropped the bubble screen on the series of the dropped punt snap. He stuck in my mind as I was screaming to get on the ball as it was close to a backward pass. Think that is his first target

You should of just realized this and not even make the thread in my opinion. You've noted that even with almost max protection the Jets were still able to generate good pressure and yet you wonder why we didn't do anything more elaborate. Like really?

I missed the game. Was it set up for a big gain? Definitely has to catch that
