Interesting read:

But so does the pure overall lack of talent at wide receiver and tight end, as well as the disturbingly unsettled situation at quarterback, where Culpepper is no sure bet to ever return to form and Joey Harrington continues to confirm that he is not the answer.

First and foremost, Saban must accept that Chris Chambers, a so-called #1 receiver, is a fraud. Instead of getting better, he is getting worse. He whines and moans about not getting his chances, yet forgets to mention he does little to create his own opportunities. His route running is abysmal and his continued penchant for body catching the ball is ruinous. Too easily eliminated by opposing defenses, Chambers is essentially harmless. He just isn’t a difference-maker.

nothing wrong with the offense...it works just fine when it is operated and executed properly.

I would not mind giving up chambers for a 2nd draft pick ...not sure though if anyone will give up a 2nd.

LOL it's the title of an article was trying to link to but the board keeps removing the link and text.

Finally, Some of it is there, and the link now as well.

Chris is underachieving but although he has brought most of it on himself, not all of it lies in his court. That being said, I believe he will still be here next year and have a chance to vindicate himself with someone who would RATHER throw the long ball than not.

I'd like to know where the info on CC being a whiner comes from. Sure haven't seen it anywhere. He has done his part to help others by blocking his arse off. Granted his stats aren't No.1, but look who's throwing to him. 2 to 5 yrd pass's aren't his forte.

Yea man, I was trying to get more text in there besides just the Chambers stuff but I had to edit like 6 times to get what is there and to get the link in so i gave up

It is an intersting read though I agree with most of what the guy has to say.

Clem...for me, it has been his pressers where I have seen him whine.

I was thinking earlier about how it seemed like when watching all the long runs, somewhere in there you see Chambers making a good block...not some wimpy thing either.

No, idc what anyone says, dont scrap the offense. Seems like every year the players have to learn a new playbook. Keep it. And along with that, keep Chambers, hes had to go through what? Like 6 diffrent quarterbacks since coming here?

It also seems like every year this offense is mediocre. The Saints we're mediocre last year and they basically scrapped their Offense and look at them this year.

this offense is only two years old and has been executed by a less than stellar o-line, it should be no surprise that it is mediocre. The system is fine IF you can execute it.

If our o-line would learn to do their jobs better our offense on the field would actually have a chance of working. I liked what I saw from Scott last year once he learned how to drive the car he was handed. To me, it lives and dies at the o-line. If that works, everything else has a chance to shine.

If our running backs could actually get to the line of scrimmage unmolested, they would be dominating. Good protection and a working running game with Daunte back there...look out!

Well there seems to be two camps on the issue, one side feels these players have the talent and just aren't playing up to their ability, the other feels the players are giving it thier all they just aren't talented enough to win every game.

I agree with what the guy is saying in the article, the title Offense should be scrapped is a bit misleading but if you read what he's saying he's talking about position coaches needing to be replaced, Mularkey needing to be replaced, Chambers, McMichael needing to be replaced, needing to draft a QB. He's not really saying gut the whole thing and start over, it's just that you have to gut much of the offense from coaches to recievers to O-Line in order for this offense to be succesful.

People have been complainging about these individual aspects all year and this guy lays it all out in one article. I find it hard to argue with any of his points.

It's like Saban says, If you continue to do the same things, you will continue to see the same results. You've got to make changes to shake things up you cant stick with the same personelle year after year and expect the results to be any different.
