Last year it was atrocious. This year it's just plain bad, but it's still not good:

Denver -- 34 points. 6 points until they lost virtually their entire defensive backfield.

Jets -- 7 points. Nuff said.

Carolina -- 27 points, but how many turnovers did Carolina have?

Buffalo -- 7 points of our own, 7 on the short drive after the McGahee fumble.

And there's no downfield passing game to speak of. At least no reliable or consistent one.

Were running well even before Ricky gets here and Gus is putting up TD's and yards. We need to cut back on the turnover and take advantage of the downfield opportunities. I think our offense is light years ahead of last year.

good point but most on this site will need another game or two before they see how bad we are on offense. I wish I had official game film of the games because its hard to tell on broadcasts if our receivers are being covered or if Gus is just not getting them the ball

Gus not getting them the ball, Chambers was getting wide open deep many times, and his underthrows were nearly impossible to come back because they were lobbed and so behin of chamber, like 15 yards behind, Chambers tried coming back for them, but it was a slim chance of working

Gus has definitely NOT been accurate downfield for the most part.

I wouldn't say inaccurate but what happended to his thrwoing , arm strength, he made some nice throws in teh game, right on target, but the first lob, was becuase he got hit by a bills player right when he was throwing it, the second one it just was lobbed up there, the thing a question now is his throwing arm strength, lobbing the ball and having it greatly under thrown has nothing to do with accuracy, ut mean's he can't throw the ball far enough or can't put enough velocity on the ball. I know he has a stronger arm than fiedler, but some of his throws, looked like what a noodle armed qb would throw, hopefully that will change next week, he might have been rattled a little so he might not have stepped into his throws theredore they weren't thrown hard, or far enough

I AM starting to wonder whether or not the miami fans have too high expectations . I know my expectations were a little high so i think maybe we nned to give Saban another year to bring enough players to do the job right. plus would any of us want to fix dave and rick's mess and beleive me when i say this is exactly a disaster area. if fema was dealing with the nfl we would be elgible for government aide.

We have a offense that can do some damage, it's just that the group hasn't been together for along time. Give it some damn time.

The whole game was troubling. Trying to be a positive fan.....

Even with the 1st 4 turnovers, and 108 yards in penalties, we WERE driving for a winning TD. We were not out of this game. The penalties HAVE to stop though. The taunting call did seem a bit over reaction from what I saw. But even with the 15 yd penalty, the ko was fielded at the 5-10 yardline. Just poor tackling after that. The last Turnover was a very very close call to being down. I am still optomistic. I know all the sports writers will say "see they were just lucky the other games, and this is what should be expected from the Fins". Reality, we were not dominated, we shot ourselves in the foot (and with the number of times, I think it was with an uzi.)

Hopefully they will rebound next week, and get the penalties/to's under control.

The Offense is much better its just not as bad as last year.
