Asked how different Lazor's offense will be from Sherman's, Philbin said: "I don't know that it's going to be all that different."

Let's hope different o-line, different o-line coach, and different play calling during game make a big difference.

Even if the offense is the same, it can be drastically improved simply by having an OC who understands situational football and when and why to call certain plays.

The overall offense wasn't bad, its just that Sherman was a stubborn ass who never adjusted his playcalling to counter what the other team was doing. The last Bills game was one of the worst playcalling performances Ive ever seen.

Funny that Philbin said offense won't be that different, because Tannehill has said there will be big differences. We'll certainly see some.

I am sure the style will be pretty much the same. The fact that you have someone completely different calling the plays is what makes it different.

It will be the same but different. If that makes sense.

It would depend on how coy Philbin is being with his answer and I suspect he's being very coy. Like Lazor's job is to score as many points as possible, so in that respect his offense won't be any different than Sherman's. Philbin is not going to go into specifics that might put us at a competitive disadvantage, especially weeks before the draft, nor is he going to throw Sherman under the bus by saying something like "of course it'll be different, IT'LL BE BETTER!!" Like I said, it was a stupid question.

It will be light years different just by running QB sneak on 3rd and inches.

Thats a huge start!

Run a QB sneak when the time calls for it and I'll be happy.

One thing that annoys me about Philbin is he is so basic, standard, and dry when speaking about the team. I understand not wanting to give another team inside info but my goodness once I wish he could give us something to be excited about.

:bobdole:

New OC, New O-line coach.

Yeah, I'm sure the playbook will be exactly the same. Cost savings on the IPad's.

WTF did the reporter think Philbin would say?

Why change it? It was a high scoring, prolific, unstoppable machine.... Oh wait

As long as Tannehill doesn't follow by those progressive 1-4 reads I'm ok with it.
