I'm not a big fan of Feeley or Jay. I was thinking about the game a little bit and wondering what we could have done different to give Feeley the chance that he needed.

Did anybody notice that Feeley didn't line up in shotgun very much if at all??? If your QB is not getting ample time wouldnt you line him up in shot gun to at least buy another second?? Also if you know that your line is just getting run through why wouldnt you call more screens?? Let you line let them go and start up field to block for your running back. Throw some freaking quick slants just to get the ball out or your QB's hands fast and let the reciever make some plays. I'm not sure that I ever really seen Gordon stay back and help block, why wouldnt you have an extra guy back there to pickup a loose linebacker or something??? I think as bad as the guys played this game was really poorly called.

My number one problem with the playcalling though by far is.....

Why in the world do they keed trying to send Gordon up the middle?? How about running him outside of the freaking line and letting him make his own moves. That is just starting to bug me to no end. :fire:

I agree. A few of us were actually yelling at the T.V. for them to use the shotgun formation. I also think that it's obvious that this coordinator is in way over his head for his first coordinating job.

All this long winded crap needs to be summed up as what we and the players all know.....
Our coaching staff SUX!
If we had a new coach this year we would not be in this predicament.

SELL THE TEAM WAYNE!

According to Wanny the reason they didn't use shotgun was because the crowd noise was soooo loud, which means they would have had to use the "silent count". Wanny was scared the QB and lineman wouldn't have been on the same page and it would have caused mistakes. Whatever.

That is just another example of his fear and conservatism hampering the offense.

Do you think it wouldn't have caused mistakes?

Although it is tough to say,I think at that point they need to figure out some kind of way to give him a few seconds to look deep. I certainly don't think it would have made things worse.

It surely could have made things worse...

Worse? He already didn't have time to throw, and as a result was making bad judgments. At least he would have had a few more seconds with the shotgun. Anyways, my point was that he let's fear dictate his decisions.

This is the oline that had a false start 'on the whole line except the starter' on a normal snap. I can't imagine they would handle the silent count well, either.

Exactly.

I read that this morning about Dave not having the shotgun in there because of the crowd noise. I was immediately wondering have junior varsity is this freaking team that they don't have shotgun in their system? That they have to practice how to freaking line up in shotgun so everyone knows what to do. The idea that they will now have to practice this week on the shotgun is mind blowing about this team. I mean is there some hidden method to shotgun that AJ and the center don't know about that would somehow be more damaging? I still can't believe they didn't have 'shotgun' in the game plan and therefore never went into shotgun. That's just pathetic.

You people are b*tching because they didn't use "shotgun". As xiidaen stated, the whole entire offensive line except the center false started on the very first play. So, if we went with the "shotgun" like everyone is b*tching about, we would have had more penalties than we did against the Titans and you would be b*tching about that. You people are NEVER satisfied. STOP looking for faults and START supporting this team.

Although I disagree with you, I respectfully accpet your opinion. I don't think it's right though to say someone is not supporting the team because they are questioning why shotgun wasn't used.
