What kind of formations do you think we will use? And what kind of personel do you think they will consist of? Who do you think will be the the starting FB or do you think regan and Boomer will split time between special teams and offense? Does Henning like the vertical offense or a form of the west coast? I think we should pound the football since we have 3 hard runners in brown, ricky and parmale, which will open the vertical game. If we can find some receivers that know how to run routes this offense can be suprising. I think ginn will flourish this year and Wilford will be solid as a posession guy. Now Hagan if I remember was known for his route running in college, but obviously his hands are suspect. Do you guys think this will be the idealogy behing Henning O?

I agree, TE/WR are still questionable as receivers but they are all good run blockers. I think we should plan to see a whole lot of running which i support 100%. Keeps that D off the field and will shorten the game which will play in our favor mostly.

If one of younger QBs get the job (Beck or Henne) don't expect anything very complex. It will mostly be a running offense which will probably use many backs, as Ronnie is coming off of an ACL injury, and Ricky is getting acclimated to the game again. Parmele, Hilliard, and Reagan will likely get their chance because of that. Fasano was an important pickup because a young quarterback will need a short target that he can rely on, and you can expect plenty of tight end play this season. And if one of the WRs can step up and become a go-to guy, it will immensely help whichever QB emerges.

I Totally agree, we will pound the football and we will have a lot TE play but who is the true go to guy on this team. I know Fasano is a great blocker but his hands are inconsistent. I think Justin Peelle is a decent receiver but i wouldnt want to label him as the go-to-guy. Maybe a trade with the G-men for Mr. who know who. A draft pick maybe even JT, they sure would want to replace Strahan.

And if one of the stupider ones gets the job (McCown), look for the H3P offense (Handoff, Handoff, Handoff, Punt).

But you know which formation I hate? The one where the ducks (or geese) fly in an inverted V, but with one fewer duck (or goose) on one side of the V. That formation offends my sense of order and decorum. And don't get me started on how it offends chickens.

The inverted V duck (or goose) formation is clearly the most offensive.

Henning is a power run, clock control guy... Heavy doses of Ronnie and Ricky with big Jake ploughing the road. Nice and simple for the new guys and wears defences down.

Then after the preseason and Henne is back to the bench...I exspect Beck will be in the i formation a lot with the R&R exspress running all over D's all year:up:

just watch the panthers almost beat the pats in the sb and watch his O with a wr kinda like Teddy

I-formation power run, maybe some double TE as situation dictate.

I seriously doubt you'll see trips left or right as a regular formation.
