:shakeno:NOWHERE to be found against BAL!!!:shakeno::shakeno::shakeno:

HORRIBLE, first priority in the offseason...find guys who can block...C.P. had no time at all back there!:shakeno::shakeno::shakeno:

main reason why we lost...above everything else.

Satele has to be moved to guard (probably as a backup.) Hopefully we get Thomas and Smiley back healthy next year. We need a big center and maybe even a new tackle to replace Carey.

I agree, the OL was a glaring weakness on Sunday. We've got some solid young talent to work with, but we need to get bigger / more physical in the middle. Patience....

IN TUNA WE TRUST....

The fact that Satale got shoved around all year by Wilfork, Jenkins and Ngata will probably mean a change gets made here before next season.

I wasn't too upset about the line since two of them weren't starters at the start of the season and the others haven't even been in a playoff game what did you expect out of them...but a new center and maybe a new right tackle wouldn't be too bad.

Finally, the right thing about this game has been said.....its not totally CP's fault IF YOU DONT BLOCK YOU CANT WIN THE DAMN GAME. PERIOD!!!:hi5:

Since when is our offensive line horrible? Considering the amount of injuries we had all season long, I consider them a pretty good group. Just so happens that we faced the Ravens 3-4 defense and they were throwing so much pressure against us that we couldn't handle. As a matter of fact, all except 1 interception, Pennington had a pretty good time to throw the ball downfield but the passes were bad, overthrown, and underthrown.

Satele would be a starting guard for us easily. I can certaintly agree that we need a center within the mold of Kevin Mawee, Matt Birk etc. As far as Vernon Carey, I think he has done a really good job this season for us.

But when perennial contenders (Pit, Bal, SD) in the AFC play a 3-4, including two within the division (NE, NY), you need to have a guy to match up with in the middle.

These are all teams Miami is going to need to beat in Dec/Jan to get to the next level.

i thought jake looked good. he seemed to be the only one who was able to control or win his battles. what you guys think?

How about Al Johnson - that center we signed during the season...
He could be an option!!!

The middle of the offensive line has been terrible all year except when Smiley played. The pass blocking has been average and the run blocking has been terrible. And Carey had an average year. The man needs to control his weight. If Carey stayed in shape for once he could be a pro bowl player.

The Dolphins relied too much on Pennington and the passing game all year. There was hardly any running lanes all year for Ronnie or Ricky to run threw. It showed agaisnt Baltimore when you can't run the ball you have little hope at even winning a playoff game.

This offensive line is far from a Parcells line.He wants a smash mouth tough offensive line, that can run the ball. The only 2 starters I see that are sure to return are Long and Smiley.

you have to judge the line based on the whole season. As a whole they played pretty well and protected the qb. dont forget we were missing two starters by the time we reached the playoffs. Lines dont get better overnight. We are not along ways from having a good line.

It'll help alot to get Thomas and Smiley back at the Guard position. We're obviously ok at the Left Tackle position with Jake. Some competition at Center wouldn't hurt anything though. It'll be interesting to see if we make a run to keep Carey or decide to go in a different direction. I thought he played pretty well at times, and also pretty poorly at times.
