Give it up to these guys and Hudson for stepping it up. They are really making it happen out there. In comparison to last year, this seems like a totally new unit. Pass protection and run blocking has improved across the board!!

Did anyone else notice that the play which Ronnie ran that 50+ yarder on against Carolina was called several times against the bills and was quite succesfull?

They went from the worst last year to middle of the road this year. A huge improvement.

Not sure if I would call them middle of the road quite yet. Gus Frerotte is throwing away a lot of sacks with his superior pocket presence.

Yea, I'm just hoping they get better and better as the season goes on.

My compliments to the Chef as they say.....Houch has done a brillant job.

Now if we can get our Coverage Secondary to step it up.

I agree with CK...pocket presence will buy you more time even with a defunct offensive line.

It is also a component in Gus's game which elevates him head and shoulders above AJ.

The O line is the #1 reason we are 2 - 2 right now with the front 7 on D a close 2nd IMO.

It's good to have a quarterback with pocket presence, isn't it?

name one quarterback that is playing with a line that is in the middle of the road line that doesn't

I have to admit that the OL is doing much better than I expected. The next big test is going to be with RW and RB in the backfield together...if they can give Gus the time with RB split out as the slot reciever, that could open up the middle for McMike or one of the WOs would be left one-on-one and Gus would need time to throw the ball. If he can be accurate enough, this could really open up the offense and in turn, benefit either RB or RW running the ball as well. With both guys in the backfield the safeties would have to cheat up and again leaves the middle open for McMike...

I could be crazy, but I think that Linehan was setting up the Bucs and our next opponents with the playcalling against the Jills...he didn't go down the middle with McMike except the one time (and that was a TD). I think RM was very frustrated because it looked like the middle of the field was available for us to have, but we didn't seem to want to go there...the Bucs secondary is probably a little softer than the Jills, so it could be a big day for McMike with RB and RW in the game together...
