How's our new Right guard performing (Ike Ndukwe)? I'm far from an offensive line expert but was watching the Arizona game and playing particular attention to the lines and this is what I noticed.

Seemed like the O-line wold get a good surge but there were a couple of times where Ndukwe was getting blown up and causing the play to be stopped. The line did consistently get a good push but there were too many guys on the other side to block.

Sorry to dwell on the Zona game, believe me I'm estatic about Sunday, I was just excited about Thomas and was wondering if someone who knows about O-LINE play good tell me how Ndukwe is doing.

Ndukwe is a scrappy guy who can get some movement in the running game. He made some darn good blocks vs. the Patriots. And he obviously cares about getting better since he spent all night watching film with Sparano right after the Cardinals game

Ndukwe had some problems early in the AZ game, but seemed to get better as the game went on. I haven't gone back over the whole game from yesterday yet, but I saw where he missed a block at least once...but I also saw several plays going right over his hole and he blocked well...I am hoping he has the physical ability and just needs to work on assignments and technique. He is playing better than I hoped after Thomas went down.

I think that's what it was. They had been practicing with Thomas up to that point. When he went down they had to get used to working with someone else. That had to hurt Satele as well.

Alot of plays when Ndukwe did his best Smiley was pulling to his side to help him out. Other than that he did really solid for a nobody.
