I am a firm believer that if we had a healthy Albert we would have been a playoff team. If Albert doesn't get hurt we don't have to switch James over to the left side and have Dallas get killed on a weekly basis. It led to a lot of 3 and outs which caused our defense to be absolutely gassed in the 2nd half of most games. They say the best defense is a good offense and the line was at the heart of it.

Look at New England, they went from being a terrible protecting line to average and there record has seen a drastic improvement. I am hopefully that with more depth next year we will be in much better shape depth wise to handle injuries.

We need to obviously increase our talent at the guard position and to do that we have to know what we have in Billy Turner....he needs to dress the remainder of the season as a dress rehearsal for next year.

All teams have injuries, but you are almost correct. Lack of quality depth on the offensive line and at cb position ruined our season. That's just the tip of the iceberg, too.

I remember when we lost against KC, Buffalo, and GB just how much they were the fault of Brandon Albert's injury.

And yet they still make the playoffs probably if they win the games they should have won and didn't fold in pressure moments and in big games.

Injuries didn't cost us, having no depth did.

We certainly seem to have an inordinate number of players with significant injuries this season, but that doesn't explain why the DL has just completely collapsed, among other things.

The albert injury really hurt...the line wasnt great before he got hurt but dallas thomas really sucks and it set us back bigtime.

Excuses, excuses. Every team has injuries.

The offense has only had one good game since Albert went down. But having to rely on Jimmy Wilson and Phillip Wheeler, injuries in the secondary, the DL disappearing, an inability to make big plays on both sides of the ball and the coaching being reprehensible has also factored into the collapse of a promising season.

I'll roll w/ the consensus. OL depth and DL going teets up in Late Nov was part of the reason for this seasons demise.

Once again, Miami to get stuck at the tollbooth of parity on the road to greatness.

Truthfully... Getting off to a decent start, having a downturn in Mid Oct, only to pick it up in Nov, then collapse in Dec is pretty much been the standard phins MO since the twilight of the Shula era.

Quality depth on defense and offensive line killed this season. Tannehill and the run game will get better when the line is solidified and have fewer penalties .

I knew the moment Albert went down that the vertical game and our realistic playoff hopes were dead. Dallas Thomas as your tackle depth is inexcusable as well.
