I've got to do this while we're on a high note..

McIntosh, James, Mckinney, Hadnot, Carey.

This is the original OL of who: Yes, Rick Speilman, so far after all the shuffling, it's his OL that's on the field. Carey was drafted originally to play RT and now he's there.

Welker=Speilman

Booker, Boston, Gilmore, Morris=Speilman

Now if Saban can find a dominent center, this OL will be awesome.

No doubt Rick did some good things, but the bad really overshadow the good.

The #2 and #3 for A.J. and Gordon trump any good that Rick
did.

While we're discussing the O line, am I hallucinating or did Stockar spell Carey some during the Bronco game?

don't get too excited yet. the Oline is our weak spot. it's a long season and they've got a really bad habit(false starts). i don't want to be a downer but spielmans oLine could be our downfall.

Contextually, I understand those moves.. This was Huzienga's worst move.. He kept Wanny around while elevating Spielman.. So what happened, instead of getting a clean slate, Spielman inherited a WIN NOW, DESPERATE coach, and he had to replenish the roster for that need. Thats why I believe the move for Gordon was made, and a little bit as to why the Feeley move was made, although, it didnt appear Wanny ever favored the Feeley trade at all, so I cannot say that was really in keeping with the desperation factor. But it seems everyone was sick of Fiedler at that time, so he felt pressure about bringing in a young guy..

That being said, Spielman always got had in trades. That was his downfall as a GM

I'd take Speilmans offensive picks over Wanny's. Crap are there any Wanny offensive guys left?

Sure RS was not a complete screw up but his drafts were a little sad with Wannstedt and he gave up a lot for players that are sitting far in our depth charts. (Feely, Gordon)

I wouldn't give Rick too much credit for the O-line. First of all, Hudson Houck is making chicken salad out of chicken ****. McKinney should not be starting and James still hasn't lived up to his big contract.

I love Vernon Carey, but Rick did give a 1st and 4th to get him. When you throw in all the other catasprophes, including AJ, Gordon, and the biggest bust of all - Wade Smith - a 3rd round pick and a 2nd the next year that went to our competition, New England, who turned that pick into Corey Dillon (and they still had a 2nd pick after that trade).

I'm sorry, but you asked for it. Saban is making Rick look awful. It is more clear than ever that we had the worst coach and the worst GM in the NFL.

I wouldn't call the talent on the O-line chicken ****. Carey, Hadnot and McKinney are very young. Jeno James started on an O-line in the SB (Carolina).
Let's keep things in perspective and not make outlandish comments.
There were many on this forum calling Carey a "bust" after last season. It takes MOST O-linemen a few yrs to develop.

One of the best things that I saw in Sundays game is when McKinney was pushing up at some Bronco's, and then a group went after him, and the Hadnot said we haven't none of that crap! This is the kind of Dolphin football I miss! I am glad to see that they have each others back on the Oline!:beerbang:
