I'm actually very encouraged, the tackles are the only ones who struggled but they are the least of our problems. Guards are holding up well. Pouncy was very good and his backup is pretty good himself

Way too many young guys and way past their prime veterans to say anything but ....if

Who knows, as Pouncey is such a game changer, and he played his first 15 snaps Thursday, and James played his first snaps Thursday.

I voted for "in terrible shape".

There's only one solid option in Tunsil who will still need some transitioning and only one other I have some confidence in - James.

All others are unknowns, injury plagued, washed up, or a combination of these.

This subject is incomplete right now.

If's will decide this outcome.

If Pouncey stays healthy...if Tunsil makes a quick transition to his natural position.
If the guards we have step up and get the job done.

I voted for the wait for the first week but at this time they suck. I'm just hoping they'll get it together. Tunsil looked horrible out there. He was not finishing blocks and a few times he didn't block at all

Ozzy rules!!

If pouncey miraculously makes it through the year we'll be ok. Not great, but good enough.

If we lose pouncey or tunsil for any extended time it's gonna get ugly quick.

I'm comfortable with the first team. Think playing with tempo will help and i'm expecting us to play with it come week 1.

Individual player wise I'm ok with tunsil, james, pouncey, bushrod and brendel as the 2 deep pivot

That's about as far as I'm going with it but I don't think getting serviceable play at left guard is gonna be miamis undoing. Think we can piece it.

I'll believe it when it happens and with some consistency.

I doubt it b/c playing with tempo needs o-line cohesion and familiarity. As of right now, that's not available.

I voted "unsure" but wish there was an option for "concerned" or "worried" because I do see some possible bright spots, but I have a lot of worry/concern about it. Tunsil isn't looking as good in pre-season as he did last year at LT, but I expect him to work out well once things are real. I've been pleasantly surprised with Jesse Davis ... who seems to still have all of his power but is starting to grasp the positional play better ... but he's still very much a work in progress. I like Steen more as a backup, and hope he doesn't start.

Asiata, for me, is the obvious starter at LG, and I can live with his growing pains. But, the fact the staff has not shown as much confidence in him as I have, that's beginning to concern me as well. I am happy to have Bushrod, who I think is a solid backup at every position except C. I put him into the same book as Urbik ... but I'd prefer neither start. Urbik has good strength and decent technique, but he's not exemplary in any way. Bushrod is a solid pass blocker, but a piss-poor run blocker. Both are backups.

Ju'Wuan James ... such an oddity. Lots of physical ability but sometimes we get the Dr. Jeckyl and other times we get the Mr. Hyde. Sometimes we see glimpses of the Hulk, other times we see an overmatched and timid Bruce Banner playing OL. If we could get the Hyde/Hulk at all times, he'd be a Pro-Bowler. But this inconsistency makes for an unreliable offensive line.

Then there is the perpetual tease of Mike Pouncey. When he plays, we look great! He is raising the level of his teammates! But ... he too often doesn't play. The most important ability is Dependability as Bill Parcells always used to say. Our OL is like a collection of randomly blinking Christmas lights ... a lot of flashes, but ultimately very poor illumination as a unit.
