Ok, ill start off by saying that nothing would make me happier than the departure of Dan Henning this offseason. This guy is pathetic. He runs some of the worst plays ive seen. Everything is a dink and dunk, check down to the RB or just a short play in general. How many times did we try to run a screen to Bess? On 3rd downs we have passing plays where guys routes dont even go past the 1st down marker. He doesnt mix the run with the pass effectively.

The whole first half we were running these crappy plays. Were so conservative, we never go deep. We always have to move the ball by getting it in small chunks. We have to run 3 plays to get a 1st down. We can blame the receivers all we want, granted theyre not elite or very good for that matter but the playcalling is BAD.

The second half we opened it up more, the play calls became a little more agressive. Why dont we play like this the whole game? Why do we need to fall behind before we start moving the ball 70 yards in 2 and a half minutes. It takes us 8 minutes to score unless were down in the 2nd half. THEN we can score quickly.

The defensive playcalling is equally as bad but ill leave that for another discussion.

Henning and Pasq. need to go. It's quite simple.

1WR, 2 TE formation is all I have to say. He keeps going back to it in key situation and it gets blown up BAD! To the tune of several fumble, ints and sacks! Why? Because it allows the defense to stack the box and attack!

henne had his first 300 yd game . the texans couldnt score on the second half . is that really bad coaching ??? with three rookies in the secondary .

yea that 2 TE set is too much sometimes. In key passing situations we have 2 TEs on the field. Id much rather have Cam, Hartline or Bess receiving the ball than Joey Haynos. Although if Haynos came down with that one handed grab down the sideline i might not have made the previous statement.

his 3rd 300 yard game.

There are many variables on why the fins stunk it up this year. But I strongly feel the play calling was a huge problem for us. Henning was fired before for being to conservative before. He is an old kodger who is stuck in his ways. He was to conservative when he had a lead and provided us with failed trickery when it wasn't neccessary to try to pull one over on the other team. I also blame Sparano for cooperating with him. It's pretty evident he had his nose up Henning's a55 all year.

Another thing that drives me crazy on the offensive side of the ball - ALL OUT blitzes coming on 3rd down, and Henne is very rarely in shotgun. Give him some more time!

he is doing the best he can with what he has, they are down to their fourth running back now, they dont have a big play WR and henne is putting up yards and keeping us in games, they will be fine,

both 1st down sacks of Henne late in the game were against that stupid-azz big formation. we're down 10-17 points with less than 10 minutes and we have 1 WR? What are we going to do handoff or play action pass?

I also blame the OC for the last timeout by Henne. They didn't break huddle soon enough. That is on the play caller getting the play in late.

Another thing, they go no huddle for stretches (that work!), but it's really a sugar huddle. It's not a hurry up offense, even when down by 17 pts.

May as well continue the rant. Ricky is hurt. Hilliard is playing ok. They sub Ricky in once and run him on a route to the opponent's sideline???? If he is going to come out run him to the home sideline.

It is all mind boggling.

Consider this: Ricky has been ineffective for 3 games between turnovers and injuries. Ronnie will either be a RFA or UFA depending on the collective bargaining agreement. And, Ronnie doesn't stay healthy consistently.

This team will need an identity change soon. They have the QB who can deliver. They need some WRs, a true pass threat at TE, and an OC who run a 4-5WR offense without having a mild stroke or panic attack. Maybe it will be Charlie Weiss. Maybe someone else from the Parcels tree.

As much as people like to think Parcels' teams are conservative, he expects big plays from the passing game. Think about NE under him. Think about the Jets passing us into oblivian. Even in Dallas, they were far more pass happy than this team. I don't expect he is happy with this offense.

not really sure how this matters?

i hate the 1 wr set, it is bess or cam normally, not steve smith or AJ ect, no threat of a deep pass. Haynos is on the feild more than any of the wr.
the wr screen is a bad play call for anyone other than Ginn.
Fasano is a good back up, not a huge play maker.

It wasted a solid 20-30 seconds. Ricky had to run 60 yards across the field. The defense had time to sub. The offense basically huddled.

They should have been in a hurry up offense.
