With all the talk about the wildcat formation throughout the week, I haven't seen much talk about the offensive production we saw during the rest of the plays. I see people saying that the Wildcat won't work all the time, maybe only a few times a game.

I just want to know how everybody thinks we will do offensively if we never use the Wildcat again. An interesting thing that I haven't seen mentioned yet:

The Wildcat formation resulted in about 120 yards, out of our 460 yards of total offense. So that's 340 yards on offense that didn't come from the Wildcat formation. Pretty respectable. I think a big part of it was from Pennington throwing 10-20 yards and opening things up a little bit. Pennington completed 17/20 too, which was great.

I just think the offensive productivity is being overlooked alot because of the Wildcat formation. I think we could do well even if the Wildcat isn't successful for the rest of the season.

Enough of a mix to keep the defense guessing. Maybe Henning has been reborn. Nonetheless, I'll take it.

I didn't see the game but most of the key highlights were the Wildcat, which resulted in 4 of the 5 TDs. But you have a great point. My understanding is that they only lined up this way about 6 or 7 times. That means that Pennington had a nice game, the o-line was finally run blocking well for the backs, and it was great to see WRs getting involved. People who play the Dolphins from here on out will definitely prepare for the Wildcat, but it shouldn't matter. I felt all along that this O-line would come together at some point and start making a big difference, and I think that started last Sunday!
