I give it a solid "B".

We re-signed most of our guys, we upgraded the S position...now we just need a few corners and I'll be happy.

I am with you on that one, a B rating. Overall, restrained and clever but I am concerned about our corner backs. Not only have we not signed any we have actually lost one (Goodman) to Denver. I think at this stage we have to make a play on a FA corner. There is no way we can rely on the draft entirely for replacing and upgrading at that position.

I'll give it a B. There are questions whether gibril is a real free safety, but the money for both of them was not obscene by any means. They didn't over spend, and they constantly show that they are in control of their team and will not let the market/media deter them from their goals. It's a nice change from what weve come to expect the last couple of years... Go get em Fins!

I like Miami's directions in FA Period

Ok

so we've re-signed Vernon, Bell & Crowder.

These are three players that helped them go 11-5 last year. Why lose them if you don't have to. Also, I like the approach of coaching players you know.

The signing of Wilson was a good one. Even though experts are saying he can only play the Strong Safety position, I think he is versatile enough to play both. He's also played for a winning team (Giants)

Then you have the signing of Berger, another player they know. And lets face it, we learned after Smiley and Thomas went down with injuries, you can never have enough depth on the OL.

Finally, a lot of cats are all ready forgetting Cameron Wake. As a Canadian I fully realize the differences and competition are miles apart regarding the CFL and NFL, but you can't ignore someone that had 23 sacks. I'm hoping from a pretty decent season from Cameron Wake.

I think this team is ready for the draft!

GO PHINS!

eh, i'd give it a C+

Until there is a substantial FA signing i'm not all that impressed. Hopefully the trifecta has something up their sleeves

A-

Didn't open any new holes; covered up another with Gibril Wilson. Would've liked to have seen Jason Brown, but Jake Grove isn't a potentially bad option.

We'll see. FA ain't over yet.

Right now I'm very happy with the moves, but have to take some careful looks at the "contract/value" ratio before giving a grade.
The key was keeping out players and not creating new holes.
Still am hoping for a CB.

It's been kind of surprising to me, to be honest. I didn't think we'd re-sign so many of our own guys and I thought we would have added a few new faces by now. My guess would be the FO has a pretty good idea what they want to accomplish out of this draft, and if they bled too heavily from our own FA losses we'd have to scrap the plan just to fill holes.

I like the Wilson signing at S and am hopeful he has the range to play FS. I know he played there with the Giants, but they had two starting caliber CBs playing back there, which IMO was one more than we had last year. So I like that one, but we'll see.

Interim FA grade: C. We're not really any better, but we're not really any worse. Let's see what the next seven days brings us.

I like what we've done, but with Goody gone I'd really like us to sign a CB. Even if we draft somebody I don't want Will Allen to be the only reliable CB. As of right now, we'd have Nate Jones as a starter and either Will Billingsly or Scorpio Barbers playing a lot.

I'd give our signings an "incomplete" right now because I know we're not done. Gibril Wilson will be an improvement over Renaldo Hill and I believe Joe Berger and Jake Grove will give us better depth on the o-line. But as I said, we're not done.

I think a C would be a fair grade. I don't think we've done anything teriffic, but we've had a couple of signings with potential. I liked getting Carey back and Bell, but I'll take a wait and see on Grove, Crowder and Wilson.
