So yeah, like most have been saying, no matter who we hire as our next head coach a ton of people are gonna hate it. So voice your hatred here!

:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:

Can't have an opinion on any of them yet. Never seen them as HC. If it is McCoy I'm pretty optimistic he will do well, but he may not. Wish we could all reserve judgement till he has time to get things going and into a season here.

Can't we just hate Ross and Ireland? It's much more fun that way.

Confirmation bias. Once you have an opinion about a guy, you only want to see what fits the mold you have made for him. It's understandable because it's human nature, and I think even the most dead set for or against these guys can agree that all of them are reasonable candidates, even if none of them are ideal.

Once you've decided that you like or dislike a guy, it's tough to look at the other side of things with an open mind. So McCoy sucks because he ran the Foxball offense this season, Philbin sucks because he's never called the plays, and Bowles sucks because he looks like a freaking wax statue on the sidelines.

On the other hand, McCoy is great because he had the #1 rushing attack (by far) despite his awful QB allowing teams to load the box against the run. Philbin is amazing because he's from the Packers and he could install that great offensive scheme here and maybe even raid their coaching staff. Bowles is great because the players love him and there would be some continuity.

None of these guys set my heart on fire, but I don't think any of them are bums. That said, I'm going to completely freak out if Todd Bowles winds up being the pick. I promise you that.

as far as im concerned, its just another tony sparano v2.0 coach. I'll be watchin the canes alot this season, godbless dolphins fans.

well, that was before he officially classified as one the worst qbs in the league, il be taking that down shortly, thanks for reminding me though.

Which lineman does Miami draft with the 1st pick in the 2013 draft, or does Dan Henning's protege even make it that far? Will the offense be more 1930s style, or 1970s? Will Matt Moore get benched for his inevitable poor play or does he stay the starter all year since he and the coach are best buds?

do worry...in another couple of years ...we'll be hiring another coach if this doesnt work out....maybe then Cohwer and Gruden will be ready to come back to coaching again.

no matter the choice Il give him support the first year then go from there. I think that's fair.

As said before, judgement on this guy comes based on previous experience when he is going to be in a new experience himself. The head coaching position is so different from that of a coordinator. He will bring that experience, but his new experience is what it is. Do we judge a guy who has never been in that experience the way we have been doing on this board? Management skills, organizational skills, and leadership are more critical than some of the skills we have debated about based on his previous experiences.

Patriots fans hated the Belichick hire after he failed in Cleveland. They hated it when he was failing in New England with Drew Bledsoe. I frequent a general NFL forum that has a large contingent of Patriots fans, and you probably won't believe this but some of them still don't like the guy due to bad personnel moves, underachieving defense, and the notion that Brady is responsible for that team's success.

I don't think there's any team in the NFL whose fans absolutely love the coach and think he can do no wrong. Except for maybe Sean Payton.
