We never lose to the most overated team year in and year out the San Diego Chargers. Let me guess, 2009 is the year they are supposed to be the best team in the NFL, just like 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Maybe someday it will happen until then it's a win. I'm so sick of SD, with Norv Turner as there head man I see nothing good for them in the near future.

I wrote this a couple weeks ago, but I will still post it again. Because I'm a lush.

The analysis is by no means indepth, just my quick rational on my decision.

Week 1 - Dolphins @ Falcons
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: Dolphins healthy O-line against a suspect Atlanta run defense.
Record: 1-0

Week 2 - Dolphins vs. Colts
Result: Loss
Deciding Factor: New O-coordinator or not. Peyton Manning vs. a young secondary, gives the fins a loss
Record: 1-1

Week 3 - Dolphins @ Chargers
Result: Loss
Deciding Factor: I know we squeaked one out last year, but that was a slumping SD team. I just think SD has too many weapons.
Record: 1-2

Week 4 - Dolphins vs. Bills
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: We had our popcorn ready.
Record: 2-2

Week 5 - Dolphins vs. Jets
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: Mark Sanchez growing pains.
Record: 3-2

Week 6 - BYE
Result: A loss for every Dolphins fan to not have the Fins play.

Week 7 - Dolphins vs. Saints
Result: Loss
Deciding Factor: This game could go either way. The Saints seem to be a bi-polar team. I give them the win due to the homefield
Record: 3-3

Week 8 - Dolphins @ Jets
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: I’m going to be called a homer here, but I think the Jets is a sweep for our fans. I may be partial but I really don’t like anything about their offense.
Record: 4-3

Week 9 - Dolphins @ Patriots
Result: Loss
Deciding Factor: After the Wildcat debacle last year, I see Belicheck with a chip on his shoulder and his star QB back.
Record: 4-4

Week 10 - Dolphins vs Buccaneers
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: Bucs are rebuilding.
Record: 5-4

Week 11 - Dolphins @ Panthers
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: Another toss up game here. I think we beat the Panthers or a Saints, not both. I give the win to the fins. I believe our rush defense will hold them,.
Record: 6-4

Week 12 - Dolphins @ Bills
Result: Loss
Deciding Factor: I am giving the Bills the win in Orchard park. TO is a matchup problem.
Record: 6-5

Week 13 - Dolphins vs. Patriots
Result: Loss
Deciding Factor: Sorry all, I have the Pats sweeping our fins this year.
Record: 6-6

Week 14 - Dolphins @ Jaguars
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: MJD is a great player. But 2 rookie OTs can be tricky against a 3-4.
Record: 7-6

Week 15 - Dolphins @ Titans
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: I just don’t believe in the Titans being as good as last year. Losing Haynesworth is a huge hit. Chris Johnson’s ego is out of control and Kerry Collins is still a trainwreck at points.
Record: 8-6

Week 16 - Dolphins vs. Texans
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: Finally get the monkey off our back against the Texans. I see the Texans potentially competing for a wildcard this year. However, I can’t see all our their Offensive stars healthy all year. I think either Shaub or Slaton are sidelined for this game.

Record: 9-6

Week 17 - Dolphins vs. Steelers
Result: Win
Deciding Factor: This is a situation of what are each of the teams playing for. Most likely Pitt will have their division wrapped up. Sorry Ravens. The Dolphins will be fighting for playoff lives. Emotional edge, Miami.
If this was a game in the middle of the season. I give it to the Steelers.
Record: 10-6

Now the Million Dollar Question. Does this get us in the playoffs.
Answer: I have no idea.

Give me your thoughts/ribbings. I tried to be a fair NFL fan, but probably have my Aqua glasses on a bit still.

Week 16 will be huge. Clash of two undefeated teams.

I love your optimism! Well, I don't know how many wins and losses we will end up with, but I believe we will have the number 4 ranked defense in the NFL and the top ranked defense in the AFC east, to hell with Rex Ryan big mouth, dumb ***, and his rookie Quarterback who is going to make it tough on the Jets defense. He never should've talked all that smack with such a tenuous quarterback situation on his roster. What an idiot. In case you're wondering, I have Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and probably Minnesota as rated ahead of our defense in my prediction.

I also predict that we will have the number 1 rushing offense in the league. I base this on the hopes that Donald Thomas will stay healthy and so will Grove. If so, the interior line will be much better than last year, and is there anyone who has a better or deeper stable of running backs then we do? If so, I challenge you to tell me who? Both our Tackles are in the top two or three tackle tandems in the league, and if you add in the wildcat, then you can at least see why I'm so optimistic.

Good defense and a good rushing attack go hand in hand, if you have a good running game, it makes it much easier for your defense as it chews time off the clock, keeps the opposing offense off the field, and keeps your front 7 fresh.

So, that is my prediction. Not sure what our win loss record will be, but we should win at least 10 games if my predictions about our defense and running game come true.

It all depends on our run D, thats where it ends. If we can stop the run we will go 10-6 to 11-5, Though I can see 12-4, We need to have a dominate D this year and I feel we will. And also have an offense that can score when it has to and also on occasion. I do predict a win at ATL then a loss to the Colts but lets pray for a 2-0 start.

Optimistic 12-4. 5-1 in the division is a stretch, but it could be done.
