Probably because Moore is a FA after this year & Devlin is not an NFL talent. It'll give us someone cheap to groom this year & take over as the primary back-up next year saving us $4 mil.

Mettenberger has "accused of sexual assault" issues on a team that's probably really leery of that right now.

readin on Tripp. Seems he's instinctive and has good anticipation. Not an in-your-face mauler type, more finesse. Can likely play 3-4 OLB or 4-3 ILB.
