You pay a man like Suh for a 4-3. If it is a 3-4 Wake is gone. Can OV play in a 3-4 if he is resigned. Jelani Jenkins is not a MLB or an edge rusher in a 3-4. We need to keep a a 4-3 base defense. Maybe try to run a hybrid D like the one New England runs in a few seasons.

Just as long as we can get some corner blitzes going. Other teams own us on that. Some thinking outside the box. It's like almost every play on defense is, "How many yards do we give them this down?"
 
All I know is that Philbin and Coyle took over a Top 5 Rushing Defense and changed schemes. It dropped in the rankings the first year, so they made personnel changes and it dropped lower in the rankings. Pass Defense dropped too after Philbin got rid of players he didn't like or couldn't control. Everything that Philbin and Coyle did ruined a decent defense. Go back to how it was before Philbin and Coyle neutered it. Under Sparano and Nolan, Miami was one of the few teams that could slow down Brady and the Pats; the problem was that their offense couldn't score TDs.
