Dolphins | Mularkey to tweak offense
Wed, 12 Jul 2006 05:34:33 -0700
The Miami Herald reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins new offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey is going to run the same basic offense that former offensive coordinator Scott Linehan did last season. "The offense is going to be more controlled and more balanced," Miami Dolphins WR Chris Chambers said. "Linehan liked to go downfield a little bit more. Early in the year last year, we were throwing up balls just to be throwing it up. Now there's a reason behind a lot of the stuff we're doing. [Mularkey] wants a tough, physical team. I like his approach."

Morris had an ok ypc average when we went 4-12 behind the worst O-Line I have ever seen. I think he'll be just fine running behind a much improved O-Line.

NFL | Brooks all prepared for the supplemental draft
Wed, 12 Jul 2006 05:49:10 -0700
Doug Doughty, of the Roanoke Times, reports Virginia LB <A href="http://www.kffl.com/player/13597/nfl">Ahmad Brooks is all ready for the NFL Supplemental Draft that will be held Thursday, July 13. From the moment he was dropped from Virginia's spring roster, Brooks has devoted himself to rebuilding his NFL stock to where it was after the 2004 season, when some analysts said he could have been among the top five picks in the draft, had he left college. "I think we're going to have a big surprise for you," said Greg Williams, Brooks' agent. "I think he'll go in the first round. But it's like one NFL executive told me, 'Don't be surprised if 10 teams pick him in the first round. Don't be surprised if he lasts till the fifth round." At his Pro Day workout two weeks ago, Brooks was measured at just over 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds. According to Williams, he had weighed 292 only 10 weeks earlier. "Aw, I never hit 290," said Brooks, who said he played at 278 last season, "but I did get to be 285." If Brooks hadn't dropped any weight, he would have been ticketed for the defensive line. "I never played defensive end in my life, so I didn't want to stay at that weight," Brooks said. Williams acknowledged rumors of failed drug tests, but neither he nor Brooks would confirm their authenticity.
