In a thread earlier today where the OP said this was the first game he wouldn't watch, I said that diehards don't miss games on purpose. But the longer this goes on, the more wisdom I see in skipping games. My heart literally hurts throughout games and I have fears that the constant stress on my aorta 16 weeks a year could take a toll down the road.
The problem is, the Dolphins is the football equivalent of the worst ****tease you have ever met, and they do it week after week. They don't suck hard enough for you just to be complacent during a loss, instead they give you enough excitement to keep you interested and engaged. And during that time, even when up big, you are anxious and stressed just waiting for the bottom to fall out, and more times than not, it does.
I tweeted this out when the Dolphins were up still up 17-3:
Sack, missed FG, long run, Patterson injury. So it begins, the inevitable patriots comeback, winning by 3 due to FG ref job... #MIAvsNE
If the Dolphins lose this game, that seals it. I want this whole regime gone... And if the new regime doesn't want Tannehill, that's fine, as long as they take a QB in the first round. In the meantime, it's time to book an appointment with the cardiologist!
GAME BALL : REFS. They have drastically changed the game on three different occasions. The phantom pass interference on Gronk. The 3rd down pass interference where, I think Thomkins got jammed and fell down within the 5 yrds. Finally, that crap with the attempted fumble recovery. But, ironically, I know this **** is gonna happen every week, so I don't know why it ruffles my feathers.
