Official: Feeley sucks.

in aj's defense (i don't think he deserves much but this is true), i don't think we were expecting the bears to blitz every play like they were. it wasn't until frerotte was in did we start making the proper adjustments.

on a side note, i think you're all going to have heart attacks at an early age with the way you react to a televised scrimmage.
thats nt an escuse...you should be prepeared for blitzes..i mean you are trying to win a starting job

i can't believe that somebody who is fighting for a starting job left the game with an f'ing arse bruise. does he really want to start?

HAHA! Wow!

Yes it is official. AJ Feeley does suck and always has. IMO, he looked like the worst QB on the team today.

The depth chart should look like this..
1. Frerotte
2. Rosenfels
3. Berlin
4. (cut) Feeley

He was coming out anyway...Gus was getting the next series...

On a side note....it took exactly one quarter of preseason football for the A.J. sucks crap to start...

He had 2 drops and, in my opinion looked pretty good. The Bears were blitzing like crazy and our backs are still trying to figure out THEY NEED TO PICK UP A BLITZER THE ODD TIME!

No offensive game plan, poor blitz pick ups...A.J. made no mistakes (made a very smart play on a blown up screen play, throwing it away). Threw a nice comebacker to Booker...I thought he looked ok tonight. The backs NEED to start picking up the blitzers.

Starting a thread with this title is complete crap in my opinion...IT WAS A DAMN SCRIMMAGE!

That's what I was thinking. It's almost like he wanted to be taken out.

And on topic, I wasn't discouraged by any of our QB's play really. I thought Frerotte looked good as well as Berlin, and Feeley showed once again what he can do with time.

I agree it's to early to say who wins the QB job, but based on tonight I have it like this.

1. Gus
2. Sage
3. Berlin
4. AJ

Did you see improvement from his o-line? What did you want him to do? They didnt go deep with him and he didnt throw an INT. He really did as well as he couldve. Its early, relax.

I want him to step up and throw the ball with some authority like the rest of the QB's on our roster. I know it's early but this was the problem last year: put some pressure on him and he runs away, falls down, or gets creamed. Put pressure on ths other guys and they step up and make a throw. Perfect example: when Gus entered the game and the Bears brought the house in the end zone, he escaped and lauched it down field to Chambers. Feeley would've gone down in a heap. In addition, when they brought pressure against Sage, he stepped into it and made some nice throws. He did the same in the season finale last year. Not saying he was perfect but he hung in for that extra split second and gave his receivers a bit more time. Feeley bails too early.

Feeley is the classic QB that I think can perform if given the time he needs. Wait till he actually gets some time in the pocket to say he sucks.

I thought Sage was the least impressive QB out there tonight.

Yes, does anyone see what I said all last year, FEELEY IS A STICK, and Gus can move, he had a few boots. GUS played much better, Feeley does suck.

that oline sucked. he got no protection. were you watching the game???????

this is the same problem he had last year.

I have been a big Feeley supporter and always thought he should be the starting QB for this team. But after watching him tonight leadin the offense nowhere again, I am willing to give him one last game. Now I know it's only pre-season but if I don't see a great performance this weekend, I am off the bandwagon. For Good.

and you guys have to remember that the other 3 qb's palyed against crappy defenses.
but you guys dont consider that know do you?

Gus played against the Bears 2nd string. Plus this guy has not played significant regular season time in years. If Saban can wait a few more games before picking his starting QB perhaps you can too.

 I see the AJ haters are already out in full force.
