Is there a bittorrent program that doesn't chew up resources. I use bit tornado and my PC runs really sluggish. Suggestions?

Try the official "no frills" client .The link is posted in my initial thread post.It also reroutes through any posible firewalls you may have in your router.

The quality vs size question has popped up again.

At the beginning of the season we opted to go to the smaller size for quicker uploads (We get to see the game faster for those who cant see the games on TV) instead of a larger size which would result in better quality.

The Divx files were giving us acceptable quality but the last couple of weeks the quality has dropped off.Part of the problem is that Jax has a standalone capper which has USB connections to cable. The quality of the cable connection is inferior to the DirectTV connection.

Also he was editing the commercials after compressing which resulted in some guesswork as to the eventual size which has been smaller than usual. We were aiming for 700 megs. This can be corrected.

Another reason for the smaller size was that the availability of technological devices such as DVD burners. Not everyone has one. However DVD burners and higher internet speeds are becoming commonplace.

So the question is which would you rather have .A 1.5 -2 meg version or a compressed 700 meg file but with improvements. ?

Next week we will try to upload a 1.5-2 meg file just to experiment.

I haven't been able to connect to the tracker. I've been traying for 3 hours. I am the only one with this problem?

Maybe a poll can be made every week, just after the game is finished. Probably peolple would want a larger/better quality file for great games like the one against the pats, and smaller file when we loose or the games are ugly like the ones at SF or vs Browns.

I have a DVD burner so i don't have a problem with larger files. But if a 2GB torrent is made i suggest that is divided in 4 parts, one for each quarter for people witouth a DVD burner.

We had this problem with lokitorrent for the Pats upload.I dont understand.Maybe the tracker has a time limit. I am still seeding.

I am seeding with a connect to tracker error and no upload.

Also LOL @ keep the size small but improve the quality!

I connected yesterday very easy, now i can't, ¡'ll keep traying. According to looki torrent the tracker is not respondig to every pear, they are still fixing this problem.

use ABC (Yet Another Bittorrent Client)...

it has the most features, you can customize it, runs multiple downloads in ONE window, and you can throttle your U/L and D/L speeds up and down. I cap my U/L at 30 kBs as to not slow my computer down, but i leave it on 24/7 to help seed previous games to other users. As of now no one is trying to grab the Browns game from me but i have been seeding the NE game like a madman the last week.

http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/

this app even breaks down each torrent and color-codes them based on availability and connectivity. You can even control how long you seed torrents that you've already downloaded.

try it out.

We had this problem last week.Since the tracker doesnt show any seeders the tracker might shut itself off after 24 hrs or so.I think thats it.

If anyone is interested I can upload it on another site.

Jax.Perhaps I didnt word it correctly:) .What I meant was that if you edit the commercials first you would get it closer to 700 meg. Also the next game will be on direct TV which will give you less noise from connexion.

Here is an idea.If its a great game we upload the bigger file.If its average or a stinker we do the normal file.
