And yet Jennings caught more passes for more yards, mored td, and better average than Nicks.

If Jennings is old and slow, Nicks must be what?

ive been gone for a bit... hello to all.... what have i missed out on? anything great??? :chuckle:

I like some of these late salaries. Talk about the bargain bin. It's like getting getting a T shirt for the gym at Nordstrom Rack at this point LOL.

Honestly, I really liked Hakeem Nicks coming out of school. Made some tough catches in traffic. Had a couple of nice pro years and his stock was high. But I saw him last year on the field with Andrew Luck and he looked like a shell of himself. Something was off. Honestly, if he was a 4.5 coming out of UNC, he looked like a 4.75 guy now. He looked chunky and lethargic now, whereas the guy out of school had the eye of the tiger. If you don't look good with Andrew Luck slinging it to you, that is a red flag. I'm not saying I've totally given up on him. He's still reasonably young. I'd work him out, and if he checks out and interviews well, pay him less than Crabtree. See if you can get him on a comeback. I mean, I think he had like 40 catches for like 400 yards last year. That's not big dollar production even if he is a "name" player.

I too have liked Nicks. Watched him through out his career at UNC. Sad to hear about his play last year. There is definitely something wrong for a 27 WR with his size and catching ability to still be on the market.

Potential 1st round Arizona St WR Jaelen Strong has a fractured bone in his wrist, sources say. Likely needs surgery at some point.

#ASU WR Jaelen Strong is among players headed for combine rechecks this weekend. Teams want a status update on the small bone in his wrist

Among the late-round/priority free agents on the Dolphins' radar: Utah guard Junior Salt, BYU WR Jordan Leslie and SDSU LB Derek Largent.

Leslie makes sense, Largent makes sense (although a little light in the pants) but Junior Salt? That doesn't make sense and now I'm starting to wonder if we're making a move to a power scheme.
