Anyone know anything about him? Projected round?

He's 6'5", 245 lbs and ran a 4.5 it looks like

he's lucky he plays for the Patriots or it might have been 4 games...

Normally, I laugh at the conspiracy **** but ...

A Patriot and a Steeler RB duo get pulled over in Pittsburgh doing a Cheech and Chong impesonation, and ... ONE GAME?!? :bobdole:

Purdue tight end Gabe Holmes is aiming for a spot in the NFL following a strong performance at the College Gridiron Showcase all-star game in Texas.“Everything went pretty well,” Holmes said. “I had a solid week. I was able to show a bit of what I can do and get out there in the open field. I had a pretty solid week.” Holmes is preparing for his March 4 campus Pro Day, training in Tampa, Fla. Holmes is hoping to run the 40-yard dash in the high 4.5 to low 4.5 range. “Everything is going pretty smooth,” Holmes said. “I’m fine-tuning everything and getting ready. I’m pretty confident.”

Holmes caught 17 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns last season, finishing his career with 63 career receptions for 552 yards and five touchdowns. He majored in organized leadership and has already graduated. Holmes made several acrobatic catches at the all-star game. The 6-foot-6, 258-pounder from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., chose Purdue over Miami, Florida State and South Florida. “I played in a pro-style offense,” Holmes said. “I can come in and help a team. I’m not a one-dimensional player. I played in a two-point stance, but I can come in tight and block. If I have to be in the slot, I can create mismatches.“I played basketball growing up. I always wanted to be a basketball player. That faded when I stopped growing and I started playing football. My love for the game has grown tremendously.”

Maybe late round or UDFA?

Our TEs are fine but if he falls to the later rounds for some reason I'd pick up the Dwyer HS Product and nephew of Jack Nicklaus.

Would like to draft GT's Waller and turn him into a TE just like the process of Jordan Cameron. Cameron was of course a big WR at USC but has found success as a mismatch TE. IMO Waller could find similar success.

Poor mans Charles Clay, probably a better blocker though, better hands too.

He's like the TE version of Borland in a lot of ways. Super tough and always does everything right for the most part, but lack of size/athletism holds him back.

He's truly nothing like Clay. His impact came from being a solid route runner (for a te) and being able to get up and climb above defenders to make play. Reliable hands, speed won't blow you away but he's a red zone threat who can slip up the field and get outside the hashes. Like him a lot, but that goes without saying.
