Oregon T Jake Fisher visiting a few teams with late first-round picks and OL needs: Colts, Bengals, Saints. Also has a visit with Dolphins.

I think Fisher has the athleticism to play inside...another Kyle Long from the same school.

I recall a ridiculous sideline catch and a one handed circus grab of which he created 10-15 yac. Hard to beat Clays hands for the most part. Out of 50+ receptions he only had three drops. One of the lower drop percentages in the league. I know haters wanna hate but Clay is a playmaker. Good luck to us (one of the worst tackling teams in the league) trying to tackle him (if we stay at status quo).

One thing I do greatly agree with the majority of finfans is that it is totally and completely laughable that the Bills made him the highest paid TE in the league.
sorry while i'd like to agree, clay may have done the most with the oppurtunties he was given, he was hardly worth the money he got, esp if you consider he was going on year five and his production wasn't even near the top of the TE class.

definitely has the athleticism but lacks the pop in the hands and on contact we need inside...at least that i'm looking for...good looking zone tackle though

Free agent WR Greg Jennings is visiting the Jaguars Monday.
The Panthers and Dolphins have previously kicked the tires on Jennings, but neither offered him a contract. Now he takes his aging, slow and smallish body to Jacksonville, where Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee are atop the depth chart. Perhaps the Jags will see value in bringing in a veteran to mentor their extremely youthful receiving corps.

The Raiders, Dolphins and Ravens have shown the most interest in signing free agent WR Michael Crabtree.

i wish this team would get this damn offensive guard thing figured out...makes for a pretty boring day studying offensive guards draft prospect wise...which is what i'm doing today...tre jackson i like his awareness and he's definitely got some pop to him but athletically doesnt seem the fit for us...got some thud though

Fisher is a great prospect. I was hoping to steal him in the mid rounds but people figured out he is a great LT prospect and now he looks like he will go at the end of round 1.

He isn't a G though. He lacks sand in the pants for that and it wastes his gifts.

He is in the same boat as Clemmings and Flowers. ... very good developmental OT prospect. There just aren't many polished OL in this draft. So, the high ceiling developmental guys get pushed up.

7 whole pounds difference between the two. Don't remember anyone saying Kyle Long was light in the pants. The ZBS doesn't use heavy Guards, it uses guys that are in the 305-315 range that have short area quickness and can hit a target while on the move. Fisher was one of the quicker O-lineman at the combine and would give us the Guard/Tackle versatility we need on the O-line with Albert's injury history.

#Packers FB John Kuhn has signed a on-year deal worth 870K to return to Green Bay, his agent said.

I dont know how anyone sees offensive guard convert on jake fishers tape...thats tackle all the way...plays a little high at times but gets away with it cause hes such a rediculous lateral athlete...does his work in the run game all about positioning and nothing about strength...make it an absolute pillow fight at offensive guard

Zone scheme starting tackle and on the move athlete yes but kick inside option nah

Saw an article today about vet WR's. Specified how Hakeem Nicks was waiting for a call from the dolphins while he is visiting other teams. Made it sound like his agent has approached Miami about a visit. He's the one WR I have been surprised Miami hasn't brought in yet. Same age as Crabtree at 27 with less diva personality and probably a little quicker. Same size as well.

He knows Miami will overpay lol.

Sorry 55, if you evaluate Fisher as a guard we just see things differently.

Long was nasty, tenacious and a brawler. He absolutely could play guard and many people saw that. They were projecting him as a tackle because he had the physical gifts to give that a go as well.

But Fisher is a finesse guy with long levers and good feet. Fisher is a guy who will play LT or maybe RT in a zbs. Fisher is no guard.

When you get a chance, watch him against power in the run game. I think you will revise your analysis.

Fisher has played some guard in Oregon so the idea it is totally foreign to him is not true. He played some early in his career in Eugene.
