Official Free Agency and Rumors Thread

If they draft offensive line in round 1 when there were more than enough "decent' interior line players at good prices in free agency . . . then I really lose hope for this regime . . . all of them.

Why not have Wiz, at worst, as your primary interior backup guy . . . a guy who can play Center and Guard. I understand you got Walton . . . but so what. Field an army if you have to . . . and if Turner and even Thomas come out on top, then at least you gave them some legit competition to backup your theories. Sure beats just handing them over the jobs.

AND he's at least shown to be above average. What a f***ing shame. LG solved. Backup C. Solved. Nope

Travis - Watch what Wisniewski gets paid. He successfully orchestrated a bidding war for his services and the contract will not be average. It was always all about the money with him. Miami was never, ever in the hunt, because the bucks were going to be way too big.

He signed with Jacksonville for 1 year/ 2.5 million

That what the complaining is coming from.

My mistake - that sounds incredibly cheap. I will now remove my foot from my butt. I got that totally wrong - I thought he had visited 6 - 7 teams and was calling the shots demanding a lot more. I misread the situation - he was doing a lot of traveling but they were all saying no to him.

Look like 3 posts back...

Yes he wanted to get paid but had to settle for much less

I know the team refuses to think Dallas Thomas sucks, but for 2.5 mil, we could've had Wisniewski... :bobdole:
are you sure we could?

if I had a dime for every FH poster who thought they were smarter than an NFL exec or that every FA is just dying to play for Miami

not defending our FO but do you seriously think they don't want to bolster our OL. maybe Wis refuses to play G for all you ****ing know

Judging by our moves and interest in an upgrade this offseason, does it seem to you like they want to bolster it? And yeah, maybe youre right, maybe he doesn't want to play guard. Are you seriously trying to say he cared about where he went when he visited like 8 teams and chose the f***ing JAGS?! lol okay. They probably offered him the most money

2.5 for Wisniewski is so cheap... He was only 26 and could play 2 positions..

I am glad I decided to go to the rum festival today because otherwise I would be as upset as you about this. Wow is all I can say.

Not a bad choice though

you shouldn't conflate interest with results. I am interested in marrying Kate Upton and climbing everest, it hasn't happened yet

there is this philosophy at FH that we are entitled to all the FA upgrades we want, like there are not actually 31 other teams in the league and that Miami is a great landing spot

Sounds like wiz wanted to play center. Sounds like that's where he thinks he has the most value and can cash in next year.
