Official Mia/Hou Joint Practice 1 Thread.

Never a good strategy to wait and see what the market will pay. Better strategy is to set the market, especially if you want to “underpay” for the service or product.

Sounds like Hill was gone but they ruled him down at the 20 so that both the offense and defense get another play from 20 yards out. Tua threw a pick on the play that doesn't happen in a game.

Still obviously made a bad decision on that pick but context is important. Did they decide that play from the 20 was the last play of practice because Tyreek would have scored on the last play? That completely changes how both the offense and defense play that down.

Of course none of the above matters to guys like Casas but important to keep in mind for others who don't have a clear agenda against Tua.

Luckily it's only practice, but Tua can't do this **** when the bullets start flying for real. Like it or not this is a HUGE year for Tua. For whatever reasons his career hasn't gotten off to the best start, none of that matters if he plays great this year. But if he doesn't he will never sniff the type of contract that Herbert just got. It's a business and money talks, bullshit walks.

No doubt context is needed but the excuses are over. And for example let’s just say in year 4 I shouldn’t be seeing you stare down your primary pre to post snap without post snap verification or throwing outside the #s late.

That offense is designed for this qb to have easy motion based reads and coverage ids.

Execute it at a high clip. Or I’ll find someone who will.

Outside of just the can the kid take contact at this level and survive concerns.

Anyways just something I’ll be watching for in season.

Tua threw a bad pick 6 to end practice, second one of the day. Can't have that. Be better Tua, we need you to be this season or we need a better QB.
Would rather this happen now than regular season. Mike and him need to work on this pre snap diagnosis. Ultimately it will come down to his awareness and mental processing. His arm is fine and we know accuracy is his strength... ooof I just hope he displays savviness so these defenses aren't playing off his automatic tendencies.

The guy threw 8 picks in 400 attempts last season - including 3 of them after he was concussed against the Packers.

And you’re worrying about a pick-6 on the last play of practice?

As long as Tua is on the field, I am not going to worry about him making mistakes. You take the bad with the good because the good is great.

People forget that on the play immediately before he threw that game winning TD in the national championship, he took like a 15-20 yard loss on a sack.

He was figured out late in the year. Take away the middle of the field and force him to throw to the outside. He doesn’t have the arm to get the ball outside on time.

The ball hangs in the air and allows DBs to jump the routes.
