Official Mia/Hou Joint Practice 1 Thread.

Coach how has the rookie Center prospect you highlighted doing in the practices with Texas?
I haven't heard or seen anything on him. That may be good. I did see though that when Feeney got reps it was at LG, not Center. Perhaps that means Uluave is our backup Center?

Here let me simplify it for you.

You know damn well if Tua had played better and stayed healthy up until year 4, he would have his second contract by now just like Herbert. Doesn't mean Herbert is a better QB or will have the better career, but his first 3 years were objectively better than Tua's and he doesn't have the injury prone label which you know is not a good thing. That's why Herbert got paid and Tua didn't, he's a safer bet. Money talks. Bullshit walks.

Damn you for making me say nice things about Herbert! but I just gots to keep it real.
Lol what an idiotic post, Herbert got paid because his play backed it up YES, but if you think his situation is similar to what Tua had to deal with you’re full of it. If Tua played better and stayed healthy for 4 years? Did you forgot what Tua had to deal with his first 2 seasons? He didn’t start his first game until almost mid season and was coming off an injury that retired Bo “FN” Jackson. Not to mention an incompetent head coach that didn’t want him to begin with and forced him to start despite Fitzmagic having the team at 500. He didn’t have a coach believe in him until last year and look what he did…..I don’t need to post his stats from last year because REAL FIN FANS know how well he did when he was HEALTHY……the only thing TUA needs to prove this year is he can stay healthy…..if you think still think he needs to prove his production then you’re clueless

Y'all just don't understand how business works which is exactly what the NFL is. Like Ray R said what about Watson? He's overpaid. Well guess what, if the Browns hadn't traded 3 first round picks for Watson and fully guaranteed his contract, it was reported multiple teams were interested in trading lot of picks and paying a ton of money to Watson, just not as much as the Browns. So likely Watson would be a Falcon today and they would've given up a ton of draft capital and paid him an exuberant amount, just not as much as the Browns. Why is that? Dude is a PR nightmare, how could everyone want him so bad?

It's because he balled the f*** out in Houston and his demand was high, despite the PR repricusions. Of course things don't always work out when you sign a player to a massive contract, but you are worth what you get paid at the time of signing period. We all know Tua isn't worth a lot right now on the open market if you are being honest so it makes no sense for us to offer him a conract, he has a lot to prove this year. Call it injury only or whatever you want, doesn't matter. Facts are facts and he isn't worth as much as Herbert or Burrow RIGHT NOW. Hope that changes after this year. He needs to ascend the AFC QB ranks pronto, and no he's not worth what Lamar is either because Lamar is more of a proven commodity as well, despite your "feelings".

Reading this thread I’m not sure what to think, Tua is either #1, nothing to worry about, everyone who dares say otherwise is a lemming, or he’s a pick 6 machine, has regressed and we are totally boned. I’m just going to wait for the real games.

I don’t think this is the case coach..

Uluave is to one dimensional and not the outright starter to make the team

The only REASON he isn’t up there in worth with burrow or Herbert is because of one thing ……his ability to stay on the field. If Tua stays healthy this year and does what EVERYONE knows he’ll do…..I will say with full confidence that his contract will be bigger than Herbert or burrows

Hope so. If only Armstead had durability, nobody would be talking **** about Chris Grier right now but alas, here we are…

The top-rated QB in the NFL isn't worth much?

Money talks, bullshit walks. RIGHT? - RONG
I would know if it was right because - go ahead, say it - Ray is Right.
See how easy that was?

If that were true, explain Watkins and the Browns. - It seems the "Browns Money Talked", but "Watkins (remember all the Watkins "BS") Didn't Walk" - I think he is still there. What a total disaster, paid for a tens'-of-millions-of-dollars for a year he didn't play; and when he finally did play, he wasn't worth what they paid for him.

That would turn-out to be a "fun" post to read. - LOL
Re-read the posts. I was being rhetorical.

And you don't understand that contract size does not always equal player quality. There are countless examples of that. So, trying to base which QB is better based on their contracts is STUPID.

Wrong again. Of course there are countless examples of contract size not equaling a players value, that's not the point. The point is if say 4 players hit the market AT THE EXACT SAME MOMENT IN TIME, the one that gets paid the most is the most valuable, and the one that gets paid the least is the least valuable. Lamar Jackson just got paid, Herbert just got paid, Burrow may very well get paid before the season starts, now lets imagine if Tua were to get paid, would it be as much as those guys? You're afraid of the truth because you know (or should know) that Lamar, Herbert and Burrow are worth more than Tua at this moment in time and that kills you. Tua has a lot to prove in 2023.

Thats a load of crap the one that gets paid the most could also be on a team like the ravens and browns who just think he`s worth the most when he isn`t . No one but the ravens were willing to pay Jackson .
