The offense success is predicated on timing and speed and defenses have made adjustments to throw off the timing and putting bodies in the windows we love to attack. Tua can not create offense by scrambling and his accuracy and lack of arm strength suffers out wide. If this offense can’t generate a running game to help open those areas up it will look like it has over the last 6 quarters, inconsistent and low scoring.

Defenses are getting deep and throwing off the timing. For the first time this season, Tua has struggle to be off schedule. The statement about creating and arm strength is not the problem, but continue to believe it if it makes you feel better.

All out guys were halfway in the endzone 25 yards off the ball on 3rd and 18. just a s dumb as it gets.

One of the worst defensive calls I have ever seen under the circumstances and I have been watching football since the mid 1950’s.

I've warmed on tua this year, I think he's played really well but you can bring up any stats you want to say he's better than Herbert but the eye test says differently. He's just a better qb. As good as tua has played this year, we'd have been better with Herbert

But every game I've watched Herbert not once has he lined up of defence, nor has he ever said no coach that call is bs and I'm doing this..

Point I'm making its the coaching that has let us down today so far, and even if Herbert was a dolphin, we still would be 20yds off the line of scrimmage and Tua (now playing for the Chargers) would have dumped it off, then handed it off to Eckler for him to score before half time.

Both are good QBs but Herbert rather easily looks to be the better long term option

Herbert is doing a great job and moving in the pocket and avoiding the rush. It's buying him time.
