Rookie of the Year: Matsuzaka (Delmon Young should win it though since Matsuzaka should not be considered a rookie IMO)

CY Young: Andy Pettitte (even though it's easier to just say Santana)
Comeback Player of the Year: Eric Gagne and Gary Sheffield (I'm torn so their co-winners)

Yanks over Mets in 5



I say NYM in the world series but Philly as division champs for 2 reasons. Pedro coming back for 2nd half of the year and playoffs. And Philly's starting pitching is very good and over the course of 162 they will win more games than the bad Mets starting staff. Yet, in a 7 game series I would take the Mets and their line-up top to bottom and their pitchers. PLUS, I think Omar will make a move for a big pitcher come late July at the deadline. Mets might start slow but will finish strong.

I don't get the TWINS in the playoffs. Their pitching is god awful.

Everyone doubted them last year and they came out of nowhere to win the most competitive division in baseball. I think their going to win not because of Santana, not because of Mauer, and not because of any player on the roster but because of one man.....Ron Gardenhire. That guy can manage his *** off and is one of the most underrated in the game. Anyways no more of me defending my picks. I made this thread so we can see who gets the most predictions right at the end of the year!
