Watch more closely. THe ball was thrown where it had to be thrown. Had Gus thrown to the RIGHT, it would have been picked. HE threw it to the side away from the defense and Gilmore made a good adjustment and catch. Good play by both of them.

And if Feeley threw it people would say his statue should be in the HOF right next to Dan's
 
My assessment of the first half:

1) Gus looked great. Strong arm, good decisions, and a hell of an 80 yard drive. Whens the last time we could say that in the preseason? 11/17 143 and 1 TD in only one quarter of action.

2) 1st team OL looked terrible. They werent workng well together to pick up stunts and blitzes. Thats a lack of communication more than anything. They also didnt open any holes in the running game, which looked eerilly similar to last year.

3) DB's looked piss poor. Grossman/Hutchinson could have had several long TD's

4) We have several talented receivers, eh?

Theres still a lot of work to do, but thats why we have preseason.....

ditto....can't wait to see next week when Gus plays first stringers....i hope he plays as well as he did tonight but, nothing wrong with what AJ did tonight, he's just way behind on knowing the offense.
 
Our defense is making Hutchinson look like vick the ways he's spinning away from everyone.

you can add 4) Barely any QB pressure.
