I'm psyched about the Porter signing.

But what's next with FA and the draft?

I think our needs are as follows:
(no particular order)

QB
Go to WR
Shutdown CB
Younger NT
TE
FB
LT
G/C

I think we should just go BPA in the draft and see how many of these needs we can fill.

But what do you guys think we need the most?

I think if Pepper comes back, then LT. If he doesn't, obviously it's QB.

Left side of the offensive line has got to be the most needed postion(s). After that, DT and CB.

I Think Kelley Washington Would Be A Good Signing....the Only Fb In Fa Left Is Justin Griffith But I Think One Can Be Had In The Draft Around Round 4...as Far As Secondary I Think We Should Build Through The Draft Also.....nt Same Thing, And Resigning Keith Traylor Again Would Be Nice.....i Think We Can Fill Some Holes In The Oline Via Fa And Then Seal The Deal In The Draft Picking Up 2-3 Olineman...as Far As Te....graham May Be Too Expensive.....lets Just Hope And Prays Cam Can Find A Gates Down Here In Miami

Our biggest need is OL, no question about it.

WR can be filled in free agency. We are interested in Stallworth and don't forget we are likely to land Kelley Washington.

Most of these needs will have to be addressed in the draft. We need just to pick up some cheap young free agents to plufg in for now. I think Joey Porter and maybe Donte Stallworth will be our only big moves. Expect more along the lines of David Martin type players.

If Stallworth can stay clean, I think he could be that deep threat TD scorer in Miami because he was in Philly. That would leave us with OL, Nose Tackle and DB in that order. FB isn't that hard to fill...we just won't have a pro bowl guy this season at that spot. Since we are rebuilding it shouldn't be too important anyway. We have two tight ends and shouldn't be looking to fill the spot this year. Look for a big time TE in 2008. QB I will leave as a wild card. IMO if we still have Daunte on the roster than we are saying that we can wait at least one year to address the position.

I don't think we need any receivers in the Washington/Stallworth mold. I think we should either go after a game breaker, or just wait another year. We have two number twos in chambers and Booker imo, and a good slot in Hagan. We need a go to guy or i think we should just get something else totally different. We have enough number twos.

o line is where we need to hit in the draft big time....get 2 guys that can start...go like this:

rookie/FA rookie /FA Hadnot Shelton Carey

It seems to me that we are starting our spring cleaning house project. I think so far so good. I know some people
are disappointed in the fact we traded Welker (especially to a team where he CAN now hurt us) but you know what
if Welker was our best receiver last year that to me screams that this was the right deal to make. Welker cannot and should not be the go to guy on the receiving squad. He showed a lot of heart but physically he
just isn't in the top at his position. I wish him the best in
his career but we have to move on. I think there might be a few more BIG shocks in store before all is said and done.

TE? I thought we signed Martin today?

I see our number one pick as:
Brady Quinn (if he falls to us, dont think he will, but if he does, serious big deal trade down could be possible)
Levi Brown - biggest need position but Alabi(unless Houston/Arizona dont take him)
Alan Branch (if not gone earlier)
Amobe Okoye (could play DE as well IMO)
Laron Landry

These picks fill serious holes and represent upgrades over anything we have currently.

I see FA deals for OL possible (carlisle). I think it would be great if we pick up one of these good gaurds in 2nd or third round. Kalil would solve some issues as well (build from center out).

I wouldn't discount the DT position. If a Wolfork falls to us in the draft why would you not go that route. That position makes the 3-4 work! Without a big clog in the middle your LB's will get hammered. DB if a top guy falls. I think you grab an OL guy in the 2nd or 3rd and I'm sure if possible we grab a development QB 1st day.

Overall I say we need a DT unless Traylor comes back for 1 more year.
OL and DB next
WR later with deep draft

I think the only immediate need is the OL. I especially think this after McIntosh left. I hope we can address this need thru FA, although most FAs at this positions are already taken, and are very expensive. I would rather draft OL prospects. I think this would go with the philosophy assumed by Cam and Mueller about younger talent with a positive apporach / character.
I think our D is already set. I would perhaps try to bring a new CB thru the draft.
I also think it would be good to draft a K. I am not a big Feely fan. I rather he stays in NYG.
We need help at WR. Hagan will continue to improve this year, but we need to add to WR, especially after Wes is gone to the Pats. Obviously, we also need help at KR/PR. I hope we sign a FA at WR. I like Washington. I am not a big Stallworth fan, he gets hurt too often. I also heard the Dolphins were going after Maurice Hicks from San Fran, maybe as a backup / PR/ KR.
It is time to draft a QB. I like Brady Quinn, but he might not fall to us. I am alright trading up to get him, but I can also go with other prospect like Stanton. I think Culpepper will do fine this year, but we need an insurance in case he gets injured. Also, we need to draft a franchise QB anyways.
We also need a FB. I am not really sure whay is the status of Kyle Eckel.
I think that would be it. Perhaps, we can upgrade at TE, but not sure if a draft pick will be spent in that position.

Chambers = 1
Booker/Stallworth/Washington = 2

therefore i'd rather go with Stallworth..Young with loads of potential..He's shown he can be a deep threat running down the field..

imagine Stallworth, Chambers, & Booker being fed bombs by C-Pep!! Oh man i think Stallworth should be our next FA acquisition..he'll jus make our WR position much better and deeper!

daniel graham..meh..if we can get him for a cheap price then im all for it..if not then it dont matta..Cam will kno wut to do with Martin & Peelle..

As for QB..i really want us to land Brady Quinn in the draft AND I also want Lemon to be the #2 guy..i want too see him play a bit more this season..if we can get Quinn than Effing A if not then it's all good..we all wanna see Lemon fulfill his potential anyways
