we need naturally skilled players which fit into our system and also fit our needs. if we get a franchise QB who needs to progress behind a veteran then we need a vet who will cope! i can say now that Gus is not coping! so look at the vets who will probibly be FAs next year. defensive players are usualy the impact players who get into the game quickly and make an impact on the game. mabe that is why so many defensive players are being picked by fans for the 1st round. Miami need to address there major problems 1st.
1. CB our pass defense is shocking at this current moment intime but remember the return of will poole next year. howard will be gone and Daniels will have improved. also there are free agents like charles Woodson who will be there for the taking. unless sam madison starts making impact plays he will not be on the team next year due to the fact he is playing no 1 corner and hasnt had in int for over a year and ahalf.
Conclusion
Saban will sort out CB problems in FA and mabe a 2nd day corner in the draft.

2. QB. our biggest problem has been QB since the loss of D.M. we have tried many but knowone to this point in time have produced. most people are calling for a 1st day QB draft put there are other prospects on the board. Brian Griese or chris sims will go from the bucs because the both deserve to start and sims will not want to stay behind griese. There has been talk of trade for rivers but i dont really see this. he has attemped 8 passes in his career which is only 8 more than a rookie has so he doesnt have any advantage of experience. both is preseason years he has been nothing great and has been out played by cleo lemons. also this year there is not a big calling for QBs so there should be a steal on in the second round.
conclusion
1st day pick probibly 2nd round.

3. OLB
I realy doubt that seau will be back next year. he needs replacing. i doubt anyone is happy with Donnie Spragan eddie moore or derrick pope starting next year so this will have to be solved. David thornton in fa is a possibility along with AkinAyodele, julian peterson(probibly franchise tagged though). there are some top line backers in the draft this year also. my top choice for LB in the draft would be Ernie Sims who is a very explosive player. he is fast athletic and delivers some of the hardest hits in collage football. but he will come at the cost of a late 1st round pick or early second. we wont have a late 1st round pick next year but we will have and early/mid 2nd.
conclusion
if julian peterson is a FA then saban will pick him up. if not then draft Ernie sims.

4. LT. we obviouisly have problems with our Oline but the biggest problem is LT. there are alot of capable LT starters which will be available out there but i havent got the energy too list them all! if we are left with a high pick in the draft then i see us drafting D'Brickshaw Ferguson. he is extremley quick and aggile. he wont put the larger Dlineman on the canvas but he can create running lanes and is very good at creating a pocket for the QB. he has great ballance and great speed which will be usefull for the screen pass.
conclusion
Draft D'Brickshaw ferguson!
5. Saftey. i see us keeping lance shulters. he will be like Brock marion was for us making big plays when they were needed for afew years. i see us drafting a saftey on round 3 possibly or going to the fre agency for a starter. tebucky jones i believe will leave us due to his lack of playmaking ability and he isnt getting any younger.
conclusion.
draft someone like Hudson or Threat or pick up a starting FA
Our wide reciever issues are very over hyped. we have a big playmaker in chris chambers we just dont have a QB to help him make plays. we have booker as our posession reciever are he will be with us for a few more years. Boston is not what he used to be but i believe with a good QB he can be a solid 3rd WR. Welker is our 2nd half specialist. his biggest problem is is hieght at 5'9 but at 4th WR he can always find ways to get open. i believe that fred Gibson will come in off the practice squad to replace Brian gilmore towards the end of the season and he will probibly stay as 5th WR or move up next year.
at RB i believe that Ronnie will ofcorse stay and start for years to come. ricky will be gone next year and with sammy morris at FB KJ harris may return to the 53 man roster.
The rest of our o-line will be mixed with FA and what we have now.

i believe we need to trade some1 for another first round pick.we need:

d'brikashaw ferguson and a first round Qb

2nd round we need a corner

most of the mock drafts i have seen have put only 2 QBs in the 1st round. there are atleast 4 QBs that will fit into nick sabans plan which actually have skill. If we get a qb in the 2nd round it will probibly just take more time to develop. if surtain was ony worth a 2nd round last year who do we have which is worth a first?

i agree on the trade for a 1st again. we need two. hoenstly i'd love an AJ hawk/Greeneway in the 1st along with a off. line player. QB i'd love too but thats a dream that will nevr come true inthe history of the game...meaning 3 1st rounders. lmaoo i wish tho.

yeah who are we going to trade for a 1st rounder? Hey I know, Seth McKinney and Reggie Howard!

Weve only played what 6 games and you are already looking forward to the next season :yell: .

actually...Yes. haha I dont care for miami to do good unless its playoff bound ONLY because i want good draft picks! thats it.

Pretty much agree with your ascessment except the QB class after Leinhart falls WAY OFF and the OT class is fairly deep. I feel sure that the Fins will make QB a priority as soon as the free-agency period begins. I believe a Rivers trade is possible but unlikely because SD will want any team to mortage their future for him (1st,2nd, and 3rd). Carr is also a possibility but it all depends on the coaching situation in Houston and where the Texans draft. I really can't see them ditching Carr. All things considered I think Saban makes QB priority no. 1. This does not mean that Miami will select one with the first pick necessarily. Saban will pick best (QB, OT) available for VALUE. My personal opinion is that Houston has the first pick but trades it for multiple picks (after they have already re-signed Carr) and Miami moves up to take Leinhart. Although most draft analyist have Leinhart going at #3 or #4 depending on who's picking.

In summary, I believe Carr, Rivers, or Leinhart will be a Dolphin next year.

P.S. : We wouldn't be have this talk if Wanny had taken Brees instead of Fletcher...STUPID!!!!:fire:

I totally agree but disagree with the brees statement. If you guys rem. brees didnt do well at all so they went after another qb in rivers and when rivers was holding out brees ended up showing osme signs and next thing you know, he is a very good QB. I think in miami, he might have been a bust or not a bust but just decent qb due to our teams Off line and talent as oppose to SD's. I do see the texans trading for more picks or miami trying to move up but i dont know what we woudl give...our first this year and what a 2nd? i doubt it.

I don't see us getting Rivers because the price will be too steep. Saban loves his draft picks. We will either draft a QB or sign a FA like Carr if he becomes one. Leinart we will not have a shot at. I just don't think we will be the last team in the league. We might have a shot at Vick or Young if they declear. My thinking is one or both will declear to assure they will be a top ten pick with the lack of talent at QB in the next years draft. Personally I would LOVE to see Vick in Miami but thats just my Opinion. It is also possible we sign Carr and draft a QB.

I don't know about you guys but I think the draft is sometimes more fun then watching the games.

i ahve a feeling we will have 2 new faces at QB next year due to Muellers history and likes.

I'm actually going to come out and say C is our biggest need on the OL (our tackles have been good, not great. their main problem is penalties) watching McKinney play C can become a joke at times.

a shut down cb would be nice (poole will be back, but it'll take him awhile to come back. AND WE CAN'T AFFORD CLEMENT so no one should start a bandwagon for him.

OLB would be great (Hawk/Greenway in the 1st or DeMarco Ryans/Thomas Howard in the 2nd) since Spragan, while solid, is not the playmaker we need on the field each play.

A FAST WR.

Young QB to groom.
