I seem to think that ellerbe would be better suited to OLB. I'd like to see us cut wheeler, move ellerbe to OLB and bring in a new Mike, to set this defense straight.

Ellerbe would be a much better player if he moved from Mike to Will.. I still don't think that improvement will match his contract

The problem is there aren't many talented line backers available this off-season. And Wheeler and Ellerbe really suck. CJ Mosley will be gone before #19.. Brandon Spikes is probably not Philbin's ideal type. Shazier has a lot of talent but is undersized and struggles getting off blocks. Skov has great instincts but may struggle on 3rd downs.

1. Resign Grimes-if we can't agree to a long term deal, he gets the franchise tag
2. Resign either Starks or Soliai-I put two contract offers out to them and the first one to accept it, gets in. I only think about the other one if they take big discount
3. Restructure Moore and Patterson; if they won't, then they get traded or released.
4. Bring back Carrol and Clemons
5. Attack FA to fill holes on the O-line. I'm not sure what scheme they run, so I wouldn't speculate players now. I might bring back some of our guys on the cheap if Lazor wants them
6. Try to fill a hole at LB and RB with FA
7. Draft BPA at every pick. Try not to be stuck in a hole needing to draft a certain position, even though there is better talent available. Look at what happened when Green Bay drafted Rodgers with Favre still on the team. How could you pass up the next Megatron even though our WR corp is deep?
8. Make Tannehill and Wallace work on deep plays all day long. Do it till Wallace throws up from running so much and Tannehill's arm drops off.
