February 22-28 - Scouting Combine in Indianapolis

February 23 - Waiver system begins and there is a 4:00 p.m. ET deadline for clubs to designate Franchise & Transition players

March 2 - Expiration date of all player contracts due to expire in 2006

March 3 - Free Agency period begins and trading period begins for 2006 after expiration of all 2005 contracts

March 26-30 - NFL Annual Meeting in Orlando

April 21 - Deadline for signing of offer sheets by restricted free agents

April 29-30 - NFL Draft

I think right now they can have as many players as they want on the roster.

did you not read what i have written above that???

just incase you didnt ill repost it!!!!!!!!!

MY WISH LIST!!!
and its just that A WISH LIST
i know we cant get all but any would be great

Peterson, Bentley and Archuletta are the only reasonable FA possibilities on that list ....
you could be absolutely right
i just listed the top guys at all the positions we needed hoping we could get 2-3 of them

Im not sure where I read this maybe on PFT, however the owners have decided that they need to approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement within the next month, and they are so committed to do this that they may actually work thru March to complete it.

If this does happen the Free Agent Period will be pushed Back till April.

However Player Contracts will still expire in March as Scheduled. If this does get approved the current Salary Cap number will increase significantly and help teams Like Denver and the New York Jets who currently and without a CBA are cap strapped.

In terms of Free Agents, Charles Rogers from Detroit has had some off field problems that I don't think we want down here. I am hearing that Hutchinson might be tagged as a Franchise Player, I would like to see us upgrade our Center, and If we can get Bentley we should do it. Givens to me seems like a good WR, depends on what we think we need at wr, do we need a possesion guy? A speed guy? Deep threat guy?

I wouldnt mind Charles Rogers, and Bently. But I hate Givens... stupid Pats. Rogers has had some problem, but I think we could get a great WR outta him. Bently would be a great upgrade wether we play him at C or G. Peterson would be nice at LB, but we will have to see what JR does, he says he wants to play, but will be interesting to see if he changes his mind. I hope he doesn't, trust me. Other than that I say only draft guys for our already ageing D. We need youth and speed.

Roster limit is 80 plus whatever number of players that team sent to Europe.
For example, if the Dolphins sent 5 players to Europe, than the roster limit would be 85.

all of these FA dates could be pushed back if the NFL doesn't sign a contract for salary cap with the PA

It could happen, but it is a "small possibility". I really don't see them pushing back the FA start even if they don't have an agreement by then.

I agree, pushing it back would throw a huge monkey wrench into the entire leagues timetable for free agency decisions before the draft and draft pick evaluations, etc..
