first off i know its way early but we are obvouisly going after a qb in the offseason and the best way would be to get brees in free agency if he is avaliable, but i dont want to give up our #1 for a qb like a rivers or someone else. and drafting a qb imo would put us at least 2years out from contending.
so what about shipping ricky to atlanta for schaub?the falcons will likely trade him rather than let him go for nothing in 07' dunn and duckett are good backs but there no ricky.

It wouldnt happen IMO. Vick is too injury prone, the Falcons want Shaub

yea but schuab wants to be a starter he will get his wish

Yeah, except what if Matt Shaub is the next AJ! It's the same situation. AJ Feeley was made to look good by a great team around him in Philly, just like Shaub in Atlanta. He has one good game and all of the sudden he is Miami bound. What the Dolphins need to is stop taking the easy way out by picking up veterans (Fiedler, Feeley, Frerotte), and draft a QB.

we are an 8-8 9-7 team what qb will be there? so because you draft a qb he is not going to be a bust? schuab is no aj feeley he could start for alot of teams now

im not to sold on shaub yet i say we just draft our qb and let gus start till hes ready.... plus i dont like the trade ricky idea the possibility of ricky+ronnie for years to come especially with rickys low salary it just seems like keeping him will help us a lot more....the only qb id be interested in trading for is rivers or volek ,but i know they prob wont let volek go.

volek is old rivers would cost us way to much in picks and $

Ricky for a Qb that I barely heard of......I dont think so

volek may be a little aged but still hes a baller....and rivers could be had for a first and our pick seems like its going to be a mid round pick so y not trade a mid1st rounder for a former top5 pick and we could have a good amount of cap space next yr y not spend it on a young prospect

no way they trade rivers for a mid 1st round pick it would have to be a top 5

noone is going to give them a top5 pick when they have a shot at leinart in that range

The Falcons have the best running attack in the NFL this year, and a top 5 combo. There are other teams, but why do we want to trade ricky so much. Why not have a great 1 - 2 combo. Why does everyone want to trade him. Just think about two stud backs, in the backfield at the same time. Name another situation in the NFL comparable to that?
