I want a quick upgrade this offseason that wont coast us too much

even tough i believe we are a few play makers away from being a super bowl team

I think if we bring in Charlie Weis who we all know wont be going back to ND and Romeo Crennel has been seen around the dolphins facilities

these two guys are not head coaches but they are or at least were great coordinates

this move could go unrecognized during the offseason but can do wonders for this team

Sorry to say it but I am not sure that there is a formula for this... The fact is this team lacks talent, it lacks players PEAKING right now... Those guys cost... Whether it is picks, players or cash.... Getting guys who are in their prime is paramount to making a 'quick' turnaround...

I look at last years draft... It is incredible how many guys are PLAYING significant minutes right now... Is that because they are so good??? Debatable... Maybe it is that we had SO MANY holes... this team needs more talent and it needs it on both sides of the ball all over the field...

At some point we will have to PAY for it.

very true

but I was trying to say it would be an upgrade that would not be to flashy

I understand we will have to spend money to be come a talented team

I'm personally all for bringing Vince Wilfork home even though it would cost us some good money and trading for a true WR like Boldin

but if we would bring in Weis and Crennel it would make a big difference

While Weis and Crennel are proven 'minds' they need some talent to work with...

I think that you are right in the fact that our coaching staff has often outsmarted itself in the name of doing it to the opposition... Play action on third and longs or in the 2 minute drill are like a pregnant stripper... Hard to watch.

There might be something said for simplifying by bringing in guys like Weis or Crennel but I would like to see some top shelf talent come in at the same time...

Wilfork is an absolute necessity as he is the double whammy... Upgrades a position of need AND hurts the Patsies... We really need to get in the game of bidding for proven talent and stop being so 'cute' plundering other teams practice squads or milking a last year or two from an obviously over the hill vet...

Actually getting too cute is also a good description of where our coaching staff is going wrong as well...

cash wont matter if there is a salary cap, you have to decide who to spend cash on... porter has a bullseye on him, huge cost and imo not much production. But i agree with these moves, not sure about weis but for sure crennel...

I'm certainly on the replace Henning bandwagon. I wouldn't mind Weis but he will be a hot commodity and wont come cheap.

But they are not miracle workers, we need to give them some talent to work with especially at WR & LB.

No, that is where you are wrong. IF we had these two as OC/DC all year long, i would go out on a limb and say we win BOTH the INDY and NO game AND todays BUF game. i could honestly see us being 8-3 right now with them. of course they need talent, doesnt everyone?

But my offseason plan is this, sign braylon edwards (WR) and A. Franklin (NT) go ILB in the 1st (mcclain or spikes) and olb in the 2nd (Hughes, Kindle, someone to go along with wake) and in the 3rd round get Jordan Shipley (WR), 4th round get Aaron Hernandez (TE). Get Romeo and a new proven OC not named Henning, (weis is very unlikely) and run a base offense, no gimmicks.

That would be going WAYYYYY out on a limb amigo... Pure speculation on that one.

I actually don't mind your 'plan' but in fact when you break it down... Just look at how many positions you are upgrading or replacing... I think you actually agree that we are thin in talent...

My point was there are very few coaches alive or dead that can make something out of nothing... I'm not certain Crennel or Weis are of that calibre... Quite simply we have bigger issues than the OC, DC...

Why they would have made Wilson and Bell able to cover TE`s and tackle. They didn`t blow a non-TD play the refs did against NO. I`m not doubting they`d help but the bottom line is our players failed to make plays when we needed them to.

I agree we need upgrades at both OC and DC spots but we also need an upgrade in talent. Henne needs a down the field TE (T.Scheffler please), he needs a play making WR(G.Tate please) and I agree with Shipley aswell. T.Ginn needs to be traded for anything, package the dude and get what you can, thanks CamCam!

I`ve been on the A.Franklin train after watching a couple SF games, he dominates and PS needs to be limited to back up duties. OLB needs an upgrade and depth, hopefully Wake will be available full time next year, Hughes would be excellent help.

I bet if the FO actually looked into trading for BE then they`d be willing to offer him a FA contract but with no cap he`s in the same boat as RB and is under a contract for 1 more year.

I'm all for it. I also want to get Boldin in the offseason. To me, that guy is very important for us. He takes pride in blocking, making the first guy miss, and fighting for the ball. Sounds exactly like what we need.

Schemes, schemes, schemes. Wilson was NEVER a bad player, Bell almost made the pro bowl last year. They would have made a difference. at least vs NO and BUF.

lets just bring back good ole Chan Gailey .

trade for a wr and bring in Dallas clark because he is a free agent in the offseason.

exactly! omg im positive that Clark would like to be in a rebuilding season with Henne thrwoing the ball instead of having the best QB in the league, and an undefeated team. yea ok.

We have two SS`s, neither plays FS so their bound to make mistakes.

thanks for helping me prove my point lmao. u think wilson is putting out the starting lineups?! chad henne?! no, the coaching staff. if thats the case which i feel the same about two SS then PASQUILONI needs to tell sporano to get culver or clemons in there.
