Maybe coach has seen what we have at guard and realizes we need an upgrade. Jerry and Garner are both big and powerful " road graders " but not really zone blocking kind of players. This guy should help.

I want to know why Scott is still a free agent. Things just are not adding up. My only guess is he wants too much money.

That was my thought as well. The guy is one of the better OG's in the league. There's no reason for him to still be on the market

Would be a great signing at this point. Amazing depth along the o line. Could possibly be a starter. no brainier to me.

Well if Scott wants to play and learn some teams system then he had better lower his contract demands or he'll be sitting at home during the 2012 season.

Jake could want to play for either a contender or a warm weather team or a no income tax state. :)

I think it comes down to what Philibin thinks of John Jerry. He has shown real talent in spurts and could be one of those hidden gems the coaching staff wants to develop.

from what I hear, Scott's game is more pass pro than run block, and if Miami is looking for a right guard I don't think that cuts it. Part of the reason why CJ2K couldn't repeat was the poor interior line play after Kevin Mawae was no longer on the team. I'd rather Ireland roll with Jerry or Garner than drop millions on Scott.

Jerry flat out needs to get in shape once and for all. The guys body is shaped like a pear and he looks like a fat slob. If his weight was around 315 he'd be a much better player.

Sign him then cut Jerry and Garner!!! We will be fine with him and Hicks battling it out for RG.

If you want to cut both Garner and Jerry, it's obvious that you don't know your team well at all...
Nate Garner is the most versatile OL we got.. He can play Center, Guard, and Tackle... And he is a quality backup...
