Ogun is garbage wit out Jason

JT is Quality!!! hes a player!! Strahan aint started well but hes a player!! Its a team game! this arguement about JT and Wally is annoying cos we were lucky to have 2 studs playing bookends on our defensive line at same time! Wally will do okay at the bears but he aint got JT coming from other side. He'll have to step up if he wants those sack stats. Wally can stop the run and he'll do the job at soldier field. Whether he'll get the sacks is a different matter.

I hardly think that JT is past his prime considering he posted 18.5 sacks in 2002 vs Wale's 9.5. In 2003, Ogunleye posted 15 sacks while JT accomplished a paultry 13.

Ah, but you won't be able to tell if that theory is correct until we see this year's results.

Trust me, I believe it's BS. I just thought I'd move the discussion forward.

the stats are misleading - "only" 3.5 tackles, but he also had a pass deflected and helped a sack by sealing off the left side.... his presence is definitely felt up there.

and for everyone quick to point fingers, keep in mind he's got jason taylor's stats beat thus far. I'm not Ogunleye hugger, but be fair, he's not a bad player.

Give him some time. Im not saying he is going to lead the league in sacks but its way too early to judge his worth without Jason. JT only had 1 tackle no sacks the first game.
Yeah but JT was doubled up on mostly...Ogun is not...

Stats are misleading. The great ends like JT,Strahan, and Rice(the top 3 by far) impact the game without padding their stats. They are always the focus of the o-lines and are always getting double teamed.

Wale took advantage of that last year against Buffalo and got 4 sacks in week 3. When you have another great end beside you like JT you will not get double teamed, but at the same time neither will he.

Wale is now the focal point of the opposing ol, and will need to get some sacks to be considered a good deal. But if you saw the game, you saw he had a big impact. The only thing Wale will learn this year is that having JT beside you is alot better than having Haynes/Brown. He will miss JT, but JT will miss him too unless Jwill or Dbo step up.
