He gave up a 55-yard pass to Vincent Jackson on which he had help over the top but still couldn't make the play. He gave up another 15-yard completion to Jackson. He gave up an 8-yard completion to Jackson along the sideline. He played so far off Legadu Naanee on one play that Rivers simply took the center snap and tossed it to Naanee standing alone along the line of scrimmage and the play gained five yards. Allen had also fell down on a slant route thus giving up a 30-yard gain to Jackson. He was called for a personal foul horse collar tackle, which resulted in a first down. He was also called for a pass interference that turned a third down into another first down.

On the bright side, Allen had four passes defensed, including two in the end zone.

We've just played 3 pro bowl quarterbacks in a row with high performing passing games. Most cornerbacks are going to give up some plays when facing that guantlet. Lets see how he does the next couple of weeks.

We let the wrong CB go....Goodman would be better than Allen at this point..
Allen is so scared of getting torched that he is giving too much room to the receivers...He sux..

The Stopper

Sean Smith Should Have Been On Jackson But We Dont Flip Our Corners! Goodman Was Good Even Prob But Allen Gets The Edge For Me Since He An Coach P Go Way Back, Plus He Is Babysitting Our Newbies Who To Me Are Coming On Strong, In Fact I Probably Would Put Allen On Wes Welker In The Slot An Smith On Moss, and Vontae Starting.

It does sound like we are shooting ourselves in the foot doesn't it? What happens when NE comes here and they stick Randy Moss every single time on the left side? Ouch, more 1-handed grabs for huge chunks of yards ftl.

I've never understood why we don’t have certain corners always shadowing a particular receiver. If I'm playing the Patriots, I don’t want Moss so much as taking a piss without Smith be there looking over his shoulder.

Put Allen in the slot as the nickel corner to cover the faster WR's....and let the rookies get tested

Hey see my thread on our weak secondary issues. We have a slew of issues there they have become out weak link like special teams were last year something Sporano and company have to address if this team is going to win some games.

Sparano said they are going to consider shaking up certain positions. This is probably going to be one of them if no one can start making any big plays on the ball.
