I see it like this....if we dont already trade our pick for Leinart and we have a 10-15 or whatever and hawk, greenway, landry, ngata, the brick, scott, williams or the NT from texas isnt on the board, i see us trading that pick for wahtevre we can get. I HIGHLY doubt wiht that pick rang ethose players woudl be available.
 
We need help in the secondary and at QB. I reckon we pick whoever is best at either of those positions. I gotta say as bad as Gus plays some weeks, it is the secondary that is losing games more.

Yup. We HAVE to get off the field on 3rd down this weekend. Atlanta was something like 10 of 14 converting on 3rd downs last weekend, that's simply unacceptable.
 
the bucs have the #1 defense in the league, and guess what? they're leading the league in 3rd down conversions on defense. the colts are undefeated and they have the best 3rd down percentage for offense. 3rd downs are so freaking valuable it's incredible. we need secondary help. if we can't get leinart, we should go secondary in the first, unless an elite tackle is on our laps
 
That's our problems this year, imagine next years... I dont see our DT's and LB's standing much longer
 
Secondary is a must to shore up. It maybe that we wont draft a CB and instead go for a safety. CB may be addressed in the FA market and we have Poole to come back with Daniels having a yr under his belt experience wise. The Safety position is a big need for me.

If Vickerson comes back and Wright progresses I think we may be alright for another season at DT, but you are right the guys we have wont last forever. The problem is we need help at so many positions. I just feel that this season if we had a better secondary that we would have won at least another three games to what we have now. The O line isn't brilliant but RB and RW are still getting the job done, so we have over come that. If Gus passes accurately the WR's will do their job, but unless the secondary progresses rapidly we are going nowhere this season. This is not a knock on Thomas and Daniels (saban really wanted him as a safety) as they are still learning and hopefully will become good players down the road.
 
well we aren't talkin abotu this year as it is over in my eyes due to too many holes and good teams thta can exploit those holes of ours.

we need to draft a qb asap ! then we need a cb , a safety like bock marion . a dt would be a godsen and a wr would be nice
how do you guys feel about qb brad smith from missouri ?

i would trade marty booker and gillmore to denver for cb darrant williams then i would trade a pick for san fran wide receiver Rashaun Woods and i am telling you if we put chambers, welker, woods and gibson you guys will be praising me so often , that some people would think i am a saint. The only real possibilities for the #1 pick right now are ... DL, DB, QB ... and 'maybe' T depending on what Houk believes about Carey at the end of the season.

We are set at RB and can get by with our receivers ....

We need a C, but that won't come in the 1st round ... rounds 2-4

We need a few more 'larger' LBs ... rounds 2-5 ...

Still believe that QB will be settled in FA [read Carr if available] .... but we will still probably draft one in the later rounds given Mueller's past history ... Brees will command more money than we are willing to pay ....
 
FWIW.......I am beginning to think that we wont draft an o lineman in the 1st round no matter who is available because of what the oline coach can do with so so talent and all the other holes there are to fill. Depending on who is available, QB, LB, WR...S...CB

I'm not entirely satisfied with the corners available in this draft. Maybe we can get someone 'decent' in the mid rounds or in FA.
