After a so called disappointing off season for Corners...I'll bet my left nut...we are drafting 2 or more Corners...

and the draft will go like this....

1. CB
2.DT
2.CB
3.WR.
4.CB
5.LB
6.CB...

i can agree that we will draft multiple CBs but i do see a LB being drafted earlier than that. I can see a LB and CB being drafted on day 1 along with both on day 2.

I'd be SHOCKED if we drafted more than 2 CBs.

In fact, I'd be surprised if we drafted more than 1.

If the draft goes as you predict I will stick my head in a hole for 11 months and cry.

Still think we are asking for trouble by relying on the draft for corners. If things were to pan out like that, it would mean would more than likely have a rookie starting and one as the nickle.

We need a vet to be our starter alongside Allen.

4 cbs is not going to happen. We might take 2 though. If we do take 2, I think one will be a CB/Safety.

I would be willing to bet we draft 2 corners as well (just not my left nut). Parcells and Ireland have a history of drafting need positions in pairs. Last year it was Langford and Merling (Dallas- Ware and Caprenter, there are more but you will have look them up yourself). As for the first 2 rounds I would love for us to draft.(analysis found at NFL.com)

1. Darius Butler CB, UCONN 5'10" 190 lbs
Analysis
Positives: Adequate height for the position. ... Versatile athlete capable of playing in various defensive schemes. ... Instinctive. ... Good recognition in zone. ... Legitimate cover corner athleticism. ... Very good straight-line speed. ... Loose hips to turn and run with receivers. ... Shows a late burst to close. ... Excellent vertical, can get into position for jump balls and make a play on the ball. ... When playing off, he can shadow his man on slants and over the middle. ... Good hands for the interception. ... Played receiver at times as a senior to take advantage of his playmaking ability. ... Gets his shoulder on the ball to force fumbles. ... Closes quickly and wraps up to prevent gains after catch. ... Gets into the pile to assist in tackles. ... Holds up blocks to force quick screens inside. ... Has the straight-line speed and hands to be an effective kick returner. ... Proved his health with a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl.

Negatives: Very lanky with thin hips. ... Not particularly strong on the line or able to get off blocks. ... Bit of a duck-and-swipe tackler. ... Does not always play to timed speed, as quicker receivers can get separation downfield. ... Can get pushed off easily by bigger, stronger receivers. ... Allows too much cushion in off man coverage. ... Missed the final two regular-season games in 2008 with a knee sprain.

2a. Ron Brace DT, BC 6'3" 325 lbs
Analysis
Positives: Square-framed, naturally large man. ... Surprising initial quickness off the snap to disrupt the play before it has a chance to begin. ... Good lateral quickness to slide down the line. ... Good use of hands to slap away the blockers' attempts to control him. ... Good overall strength, especially in his lower body, to hold up at the point. ... Can anchor against the double-team and flashes the ability to split. ... Able to close if given a free lane. ... Recognizes the action quickly and can slide off the block onto the runner as he goes by. ... Versatile defender capable of projecting as a zero-, one- or three-technique at the next level.

Negatives: Only "phone booth" quickness. ... Requires a free lane to close on the quarterback and isn't going to provide significant interior pass rush. ... Marginal effort and ability in pursuit. ... Flanked by a better prospect in Raji and often faces only one blocker. ... Struggled with a recurring back injury in 2008. ... Concern over back injury only heightened considering his heavy build and potential to allow his weight to get out of control.

2b. Sean Smith CB, Utah 6'4" 214 lbs
Analysis
Positives: Good height and great length for a boundary corner. ... Very quick feet for his size. ... Runs well with taller receivers down the sideline, but also lines up in the slot. ... Former receiver has great ball skills and the vertical to go up and get the ball. ... Able to locate and high-point in coverage. ... Elusive runner with some vision to flip field position after the interception. ... Forces fumbles by using his length to get a hand on the ball. ... Has the size and closing speed to be an effective blitzer. ... Very quick to support the run or attack quick screens and passes in the flat. ... Reacts quickly on plays in front of him and finds the ball well in the air.

Negatives: Might be seen as a corner/safety "tweener." ... Stiff in the upper body. ... Does not play with the physicality scouts would like given his size. ... Is slow to adjust when backpedaling if a receiver cuts his route short or goes to the skinny post. ... Catch-and-drag tackler whose height is a disadvantage when trying to bring down ballcarriers with a low center of gravity. ... Inconsistent using his hands at the line of scrimmage. ... Gets stuck on blocks. ... Takes poor angles to make tackles in space or when attacking a screen. ... Just a little more than two years of experience on defense. ... ****y and talks trash.

There is absolutely NO chance that Sean Smith will be at our 2b pick.

It would probably look more like this:

1. Sean Smith
2a. Darius Butler
2b. Terrance Taylor

Unless there's a kid that's way to talented to pass up our 2nd CB picked will be in the later rounds. Everyone believes we'll pick a CB with one of our first three picks but you have to also take in account this FO will not select on need but on BPA.

We really don't need to draft 4 CB's. I don't think any team runs the prevent defense anymore.

I would be happy with this outcome as well!!!
